getting a rental car on debarking day

We will be cruising April 18th-25th (on RCCL) from Port Canaveral. I've got a one-way rental from the 17th -18th (getting in a day early) and another rental on the 25th. Both are with Avis. I'm o.k. with the departure day, but how would I go about picking up the car on the 25th? Can I call Avis to get a shuttle to pick me up or would I have to take a taxi from the port to their office?

I've never sailed RCCL out of Port Canaveral, but I would expect that the Avis Shuttle will be there when you return. I've always seen it when coming back from DCL cruises. To be sure, I'd suggest giving the Avis office in Port Canaveral a call (as opposed to the reservations line), they could confirm. The Avis website lists the number as 321-783-3643.

Thanks. I figured the shuttle would probably be at the port when the ship returns, but I will bring the phone number along just in case.

Hi TedL,

Across the street from the DCL Terminal, there is a white tent in the parking lot. Under the tent there are sections to wait for the various rental shuttles. When you get off the ship, just cross the street and go to the white tent. You will see the line for the Avis shuttle, they are going back and forth all day. It is no problem, we were just there on 3/20.
