Getting a Pin?

Ok, how do I get a pin?! I've never ever gotten one and we have been to disney hundreds of times and go 2-3x per year. What's up with that?! How do you guys get them?

I could never get one either. Then I took the advice from everyone here and ordred all the cd's and signed up for everything. I think what really worked is checking prices for a trip and the when you don't book you get the survey. I marked not a good value and a few weeks later the pin codes started arriving!! I have gotten the monster code 4 times, 2 in each email address and the white rabbit 2 times. So try that and see if it works for you!! Good Luck!!

Great advice - thanks! Where would I not book the trip and get the survey?? Do I save it first and then go back and decline it or something?

Log in, set up a vaca, save it for later, then exit from the application. You should get a pop-up survey. You should make sure the site is marked to accept pop-ups.

Answer the survey (it'll be linked to your email, 'cause you logged in). It may leave a blank window open after you hit "submit." Not to worry, just close it.

EDIT: Got it to work, just by switching from Google Chrome to IE and then turning off the pop-up blocker, thanks heaps!

Did you have to sign out after you saved the trip? Or did the survey just pop up right away after you saved the trip?

If I already booked the room, will they still give me the pin? Do I need to cancel the reservation?

Lots of folks get pins after they book. Just happened to me, last week!

Whether or not you can use it on your ressie will depend on availability for that class of room in the promotion. You might find that there's no more available for your booked room, but might be for an upgraded view or CL.

It has popped up both when I did a graceful exit, and when I abruptly closed the browser. Like Aviator suggests, you might want to try it in IE, and make sure pop-ups are not blocked.

Well here's what I did

1) Use Internet Explorer and disable the popup blocker
2) Follow the link larryz provided
3) Sign in using the Log In button at the top
4) Create a vacation offer and save it
5) Click on the Disney World logo on the top left
6) It should open, fill in the survey
7) The survey disappears and the window goes blank, close it.
8) Done!
