Getting a hard ticket outside the parks - total noob to DL question!

Hi guys!

I am so sorry if this is common knowledge, or it's been asked before but I am a total Disneyland noob! I've been to WDW a bunch of times, but this will be my first time ever at DL!

So, I have an e-ticket but I know I need a hard ticket so I can use the FP machines. Does anyone know if I can get a hard ticket at any location outside of the parks? I am arriving on Saturday, 5/13, but won't be entering a park until the next day, after I complete the Tinkerbell Half, and I'm wondering if I can get this step done and out of the way ahead of time

I don't know about getting it converted anywhere before hand, but when you use an e-ticket for the first time to enter the park, they'll issue you a "hard" ticket (credit card sized one) at the turnstiles. You can use that for FPs and subsequent entries.

If you're staying at one of the onsite hotels, they can convert it for you when you check in.

I have exchanged them at the outside booths before. It's been several years, but think this would still apply.
Anyone??

They might exchange it at the ticket booth, but you'll still have to sign it or show ID and get your photo when you enter the park. Passing through security and waiting in line at the ticket booth is wasting a lot of time when it adds less than 10 seconds when you enter the park the next day. To me, it's a waste of time even if I have nothing else to do.

for the e-tickets (with barcodes) they will exchange it right at the turnstiles when you enter the park....no need to go to the ticket booths.
