Getting a CONNECTING ROOM at DLH or PP ?

We are checking in mid March 2012..on a Sunday...checking out on a Friday...

I understand you cannot RESERVE connecting rooms..so how hard is it to get them at check-in? We have children.

Anyone know WHICH hotel..DLH or PP have MORE connecting rooms?

The Grand is too far out of my price range...

We have gotten connecting rooms every trip we've gone---at PPH.

We usually go to DL with my parents, and like to have connecting rooms, so we can put the kids to bed, then go in the other room to play games, etc.

After you make ressies, just call and they will put a note on your reservation. Also, call a few days before hand.

We have gotten them every single time with no issues!!

What worked for us last year is to put in 3 room requests. They would feel terrible if they could not get at least one of those

Last year at GCH we asked for bunk beds, accessible room for my parents, and connecting rooms and we got two of the three (no bunk beds). I think that connecting rooms are high on the list of them trying to accomodate you but they just can't guarantee it.

Thank you for this info....if all of us go in our party we'd like to get connecting rooms. I will be sure to request this when we purchase our package.

We visited DLH at the end of June (LOVED IT!). We stayed in two rooms on the 10th floor on the concierge level. The rooms we recieved had one main door, then there were two doors inside the "foyer". It was a little odd-- but none the less it worked fine. We used a piece of cardboard to prevent the doors from locking and just locked the outside door.
