Hi all,

My family will be traveling with some FW newbies next year. Our cabins are booked and ressies linked. However, when I called FW they could not guarantee our cabins would be close together. Their suggestion was to call 10 days in advance and make a request that our cabins be close, but there is no guarantee.

Of course, I didn't expect any guarantees. However, I am wondering if anyone has any tips to success here. What about calling before we left MN that morning to remind the front desk of our request? If things go well, we will arrive at the Fort at approx 3:45 - 4:00, one hour after the official check-in time. If I let them know "we are on our way" maybe they will help out.

Any other ideas?

Piper,

This is not an uncommon request and the folks at the Fort are used to it. I've made the request myself in past years and we got cabins across from each other. With all the cabin loops they have at the Fort, chances are very good especially since you have the two different ressies cross-linked. About the only thing more I would do is fax a letter to the Fort about 3 days before arrival noting the request, ressie numbers, etc. I don't have the fax number on me but it's on the board here if you use the search function. So don't worry - it will work out fine!

;) 'course, I can't guarentee that ....

Thanks for the tip! I realize there are no guarantees, but that certainly makes me feel a lot better. We are sharing a golf cart (3 adults and 2 skinny kids) so it will be soooo much easier if we are in close proximity.

Thanks again,
