Gettin golf cart from kenny while waiting for site

Flame,

I am wanting to say I saw someone posted a while back about renting from Dream Carts but I can't recall who or in what thread. I do remember they had a good experience. I'll look some more.

Kenny is around 35 a day or 250 a week if I remember correctly.

Wow, that's a pretty big savings over WDW prices. Is the place where he meets you very far from the Fort? I don't tow a car behind us and wondering if I'll have to take a cab or something or if there is a better way. Once I factor in a cab ride four times (twice on pickup day and twice on drop off day) it might negate some of the savings.

He meets about 4 miles or so from the Fort. He will let you use his truck to bring the cart to your site. He might could meet somewhere else that you could take Disney transportation to. He just can't deliver himself to the Fort. I suggest you call and discuss it with him or his staff. The taxi idea sounds very expensive and time consuming so you are right it would add to the cost.

Kenny will set up a taxi for you for $20 for delivery and $20 for pick-up. We used this service last time, and the taxi met us at the check-in building and took us to Walgreens up the road where we met Kenny. We used his truck to deliver the carts, then returned. The cab was still waiting for us, so we went inside Walgreens and picked up some last minute items. Then the taxi took us back all for $20.00 :D

On the return date, we didn't need to utilize the taxi as we just left them at Meadows trading post for another customer to pick-up that day. So all in all I would budget $40 for taxi. Still WAY cheaper than Disney Carts :D

Thank you so much for this info. I will be giving Kenny a call!

Good to know, was not aware that Kenny was doing this.

I just spoke with the nice girl at Tee Time and wound up booking a cart for our July visit. She explained the process to me and it seems REALLY easy. We are going to plan our arrival at the Fort a bit earlier and go pick it up same day. Right after check in I will drive to the pickup location before setting up. Wife will wait in the RV with the dog and kids soaking up the AC at the parking lot. After I drop the cart off at the Outpost, I will drive back and pick up the RV and family. Cab thing also seems easy. Price is SUPER. For 13 days of cart we are still under $400. WDW wants close to $800 for same amount of time. I just hope we don't end up with jalopee cart. ;)
