Anyone have experience with them? Any pros vs cons. They seem to be the only ones doing get a free night. Does Disney usually do these with Good neighbor hotels frequently?
I have purchased at least 6 vacations through them. They are recommended by my husband's employer, the State of California. Our trip this October, we purchased through them. I would recommend them to my friends and family. The only thing I have a small problem with is the $20 service charge for any vacation package, but if you check online for discount codes, you can usually offset that charge.
We have uesed getaway today for 4 vacations to disneyland and 1 upcoming vacation in Oct. We love them. We have had no problems with them at all!!! Instead of getting your park tickets through the mail with your package info, you pick them up at the tickets booths. You just have your divers license and they can find your name and number of tickets. You do received a ticket voucher to take to the ticket booth, but they never asked for that. And the women at the booth states they do alot of buisness with getaway today
They are a Utah company and we used to get their flyers in our paycheck stubs when I worked for the state here too. We also get them at the Credit Union and from the schools.
We have used them to book before, but not for awhile. I've found the past several times $20 fee doesn't make them always the best deal. Run your dates with them (including the fee) and without them (booking on your own or through another site that doesn't charge a fee) and see which is cheaper.
Costco is also running a free night promo at good neighbor hotels. I like their packages because we like to do the character meals and it's included with the package.
In my opinion the payment plan through them is not the best deal. They charge you a $50 dollar fee for a payment plan when you can make payments through Disney.com or most other travel agents online with NO fee!
they payment plan worked for me when they dont charge 300 to put a plan on hold only 125. yes 50buck charge but all well still saved the ticket price before incress on there site they still have good deals for 3day hoppers with hotel. (quality inn is 69 a night) and one night free for four nights. to me thats good with breakfast

Ah gotcha! Bummer about the extra fee. And with the payment plans for both Disney and getaway you put the down payment and then pay monthly till its paid off or paid before your trip or just pay however much you want whenever you want kind of thing? Sorry to thread high jack!

We have booked a couple vacations with them and they were great, really professional. As others have said, get the promo code to remove the service charge.
All that being said, with extensive researching, you CAN get better (sometimes MUCH better) deals booking things separately on your own, especially with using hotwire/priceline. Of course with this option, you have to have all the money upfront and ready to go, where with getawaytoday, you can do the payment plan. I think we will probably use them again for NEXT Fall's trip so that we can pay it off monthly all year. If you have a long time until your trip, the convenience of getting to use that payment plan is worth the extra cost the package deal might end up being over booking yourself, IMO.
