Is this legitimate? GetAway Today (getawaytoday.com) has adult Disneyland tickets for kids prices. I've heard of that before, but these tickets are good through 12/31/20. I thought that Disneyland tickets bought in a certain year always expired sometime in mid-January of the following year (or so many days from first use). Anyway, I am looking at getting five 5 day adult hoppers to be used in May 2020 but before I lay out all that money I wanted to confirm it's legitimate. Thanks!

Totally legitimate, reputable company. You might want to double-check with undercover tourist to make sure you're getting the best price with GAT. The best price between the two companies seems to depend on the particular ticket type right now.

Last minute travel club is a better deal, but yes this is legitimate.

About a month ago I purchased my tickets from getaway today for next summer. They were five day park hopper’s with maxpass. I Purchased them for $440 each, but a few weeks later saw they had a deal for $432. Because I bought their peace of mind insurance I was able to match the price and get $40 refunded, since I purchased five tickets. I really like getting their insurance when I buy the tickets so early, because a lot can happen between now and next summer. I’ve already more than made up for the price of the insurance by saving the $40. They will also price match competitors, so if I find a better deal between now and our trip I will get them to price match for me again. They are e tickets, and they send them out to you approximately five days before your trip.
EDA The price of the insurance is $25 for your whole order, not per ticket.

Do check if they charge TAX or FEES on the tickets, as tickets from DLR directly or UCT will not have either of these (I have not used LMTC). Just make sure you are comparing the final, total prices from each vendor. I looked at GAT tickets a few years ago, and they seemed like a good deal until I got to the check out screen and saw all of the taxes and fees, which made them no cheaper than buying direct.

Was that for tickets only? I’ve never paid any taxes or fees with GAT, and I’ve used them for quite a few years. I wonder what the difference was.

It has been several years, so maybe I am remembering it incorrectly? Maybe it was Tickets at Work? I know I looked at them too back then and it was not much of a discount, if at all, so maybe that is what I am remembering. I would just alert everyone to look at the total price on any third party tickets to make sure you are still getting a good deal with the total price.

That makes sense. I looked at Tickets at Work for my tickets for next summer, and while the prices were good, with taxes and fees they were more than the price I paid at GAT.
You are giving a good reminder...always check your final total to get the best deal!

I don’t believe California taxes theme parks tickets, though I know WDW does.

When I price compared, Undercover Tourist was cheaper, especially using the Mouusesavers link.

It must have been TicketsatWork -- TicketsatWork and Sam's Club both charge taxes and fees on DLR tickets, which negates most/any discount. So buyer beware!

Good advice! Always double check the total price and double check back here if need be. If an authorized vendor's offer is legit, chances are very good that someone on this board has already used it and can vouch for its authenticity.

Absolutely right, so always check if a vendor charges tax on DLR tickets -- they shouldn't -- and there are other authorized vendors who don't, so you can definitely find a better deal elsewhere. The exception to this rule is the DLR Premier AP: the CA half of that pass won't be taxed, but the FL half of the pass will be taxed.
