"Disney's Billion Dollar Adventure" is the headline of a wonderful expose of the future plans for Disney's California Adventure Theme Park.

The Article can be read online without paying to see it.

Thanks for the headsup! Good article. Maybe I'll have to try CA again in the future. We were underwhelmed by CA the last couple of trips.

Available in the LA Times on line, too. :)

Bob Iger is supposed to hold a press conference later today so more details are forthcoming.

Oooh, thanks for the heads up on the article.

I was at California Adventure last week and I hadn't been to the Disneyland area in 10 years! My goodness, have things changed! DH and I thought it was all good though, loved the Downtown Disney area, CA Adventure, we even thought the parking deck was well done ;) . While I did mention to DH that we didn't see many characters around, I thought CA was "Disney". Loved the Aladdin show (beautiful theatre) and the Block Party. When we did the "which Disney character are you" in the Animation place - I came up as Lady! Go figure :) We had a great time.

That said, I'm all for bigger and better! I wonder how long until that's done, I'll have to go back a little sooner this time! Will have to try to get GCV ressie at seven months.

I echo the idea that it may be time to visit California again!

Very promising article. I went to CA a few year back and my only memories are the roller coaster and Soarin'. Both rides were great but I don't remember anything else...that alone should tell you something.

The problem I have with DCA, aside from the lack of rides, is it is so barren. With the exception of Grizzly Peak there is very little landscaping. In the summer it is so hot and it is hard to find shade to get a little relief. The Grizzly Peak area is my favorite. It is really beautiful there.

The press release is up on www.disneylandnews.com for anyone who wants to read it.
