Get the Annual Pass!!!

OK, I heard you could save a lot of money if you buy an annual pass!! They weren't kidding. We are staying at the WL June 22-July1. By buying the annual pass we saved $900 on the hotel!!! And the pass is less than the Ultimate Park Hopper. It was like getting our tickets for free! Plus, we'll get discounts for food and merchandice. I am so excited since we are on a really tight budget. Just wanted to let people know that it is really worth it, if you are staying in the world for more than a few days.

Well, I read in one of my disney guides that you can sometimes save a lot of money by buying an annual pass if you are staying for 5 or more days ( I never thought that it could be that much). Disney gives discounts on rooms for having one. I called disney and asked how much it would be for our booked vacation if we had an annual pass discount and it was 1,756 instead of the original 2.619. Lots of restaurants give 10% discounts for annual pass holders, too. So, I bought an annual pass for about $375 and DF is getting the Ultimate Park Hopper for $410.

I asked my travel agent about all this (dreams unlimited) She said that sometimes it is not always worth it. It all depends on what type of room you want, etc. So, I would definitely weigh out both ways before deciding. She said she would check for us when the rates come out in September and determine if it will be cheaper. One way it may be different too is that we would really like to get the romance package and it may end up that after adding up all the perks to that package separately, it would end up being more.
Just something to consider, but I am definitely going to check myself in september! I want to save as much money as possible.!

We have been purchasing annual passes since 1998. We just time our vacations right so that they over lap so that we get four 1/2 weeks out of our annual passes. (Would like to do more - but we live a little to far. Last year, we went in July - this year we are returning in June.

That is a great idea! I had never really considered that you could get two vacations out of the deal!

I think it works out cheaper if you are gonna spend more than 8 days at a Disney Park in a twelve month period and that's before room-only discounts plus the 10% discount you get on goods at "The World of Disney" in DTD and lots of places off you 10% off lunch. Definitely worth it in my eyes.

Can I get an annual pass instead of the length of stay pass with a wedding package?
