Bunny Bixler and I were in the semi-finals - the very semi-finals, mind you - of the ping-pong tournament at the club and this ghastly thing happened. We were both playing way over our heads and the score was 29-28. And we had this really terrific volley and I stepped back to get this really terrific shot. And I stepped on the ping-pong ball! I just squashed it to bits. And then Bunny and I ran to the closet of the game room to get another ping-pong ball and the closet was locked! Imagine? We had to call the whole thing off. Well, it was ghastly. Well, it was just ghastly.

Well it wasn't quite as dramatic as Mame, but my friend did win a VIP tour guide to Animal Kingdom all day as part of the year of a Million Dreams! Yoo Hoo! We got to spend the whole day in the park with Jeff, who was great, no lines, VIP seating for all of the shows! It was a blast!

Well it wasn't quite as dramatic as Mame, but my friend did win a VIP tour guide to Animal Kingdom all day as part of the year of a Million Dreams! Yoo Hoo! We got to spend the whole day in the park with Jeff, who was great, no lines, VIP seating for all of the shows! It was a blast!

Wow. Jeff is kinda cute, too. That's a bonus.

Oh we lived alright! That boy had us on a forced march all day long! I finally had to ask if we could stop to eat!

I took the standard AKL "Behind the Scenes" tour about 2 years ago and fell in love with

...one of the rhinoceroses. UNBELIEVABLE -- I KNOW...but his body language was exactly like that of an extremely friendly horse. He was being sooooooo adorable (wanted a little itch scratched or a tasty tidbit or maybe just some one-on-one attention). We were, of course admonished repeatedly on tour, to not try to touch any of the animals but in this instance, I finally just had to avert my eyes -- he was sooooooo cute. I would have loved a chance to spend some time just hangin' out with him.

Neener Neener, I did the Back Stage Safari last year and we got to pet the Rhino! They took us to the large animal area, we saw one of the bull elphants and then we walked right up to the rhino holding area and saw a few, then to the back of the building where one was outside and we each got to pet him. It was just amazing.

PS, on Saturday morning the baby giraffe decided to run to mommy via the front end of our safari vehicle, good thing we were almost stopped as he ran right in front of it.
