Regardless of who ya vote for, whether its McCain....or the guy thats NOT MCCAIN;) ...make your voice heard.

I voted last week. The polls dont open here till 7 AM and I have a 45 min drive to work so that wasnt gonna work out.

Hmm, Just a thought here.:confused3

If the Right are for the Rich, and depend on the Rich for their vote, and want to make the Rich richer to get their vote, Then does that mean the Left is for the poor, and must keep the poor poor to get their vote?

I think that who ever gets elected President that we all are going to become Joe the Plumper.
So everyone bend over and get ready to receive some pipe.

BTW, I live in NJ, and the elected officials here have put this state even further in the sewer.
Higher sales tax.
Higher property tax.
Higher surcharges on everything.
And now a proposal for a toll hick up to 800%.
:grouphug:

I got to the polls at 0650 and they were packed. They moved people very quickly and all went well except one guy bent his ballot all up and they had to put it in a box to be read later today.

True to Florida voting procedure!!!!

Found this on myspace this morning...found it to be a bit of interesting useless info...
Why do we vote on a Tuesday... in November?

The short answer: We used to be a nation of farmers.

The long answer: Congress chose November because the harvest was over and the weather wouldn't be bad enough to prevent people from traveling.

As for Tuesday, people used to have to travel overnight to their polling location. (In 1845, horse was the preferred method of transport.) In an effort to avoid religious days of rest, Congress chose Tuesday, leaving Monday and Wednesday as travel days. Tuesday was voting (and horse-resting) day.

Done, did not have to wait long at all, the scanner had a hard time reading my ballot though.

Actually, it is typical of a Florida Voter, not Florida Procedure. Florida has got some of the dumbest voters when it comes to taking a needle and punching a hole in a card or taking their finger and touching a computer screen and now taking a ballot and connecting the arrows. Of course, they blame everyone else but themselves.:thumbsup2

I mean just look at that lady who said she would no longer have to worry about filling her gas tank or paying her mortgage after O'bama is elected as he was going to do it for her.

Bet he's an Obama "supporter".:sad2:

This is sad.

10 minutes - awesome

people waited up to 6-8 hours to vote early and the average was 3 in our area.

This is the first time Ive voted since Clintons 1st term....the "I didnt inhale" made me want a REAL guy in office. Ive decided this one was important enough to drag me to the polls because Im afraid of "CHANGE".

Got my voting done for the day. It is a bit exciting in my office, one of the girls got her citizanship last month and was so excited to go vote that she was at the polls an hour early :)

I got such a kick out of my son today; I just had to tell this...

My four-year-old insisted that he had to go and help my mother go and vote. When they got there, he was really confused, so my mother asked him what was wrong...

He kept asking everyone where John McCain and Barrack Obama were so that people could vote for them!

Out of the mouths of babes!

He will figure out who they are when he grows up and has to pay all those taxes to clean up the mess they made back in 08.
