I apologize if this has been asked.
I bought our DLR tickets through GAT last month. I also bought 3 tickets (two for me and hubby, one for son) for a regular character dining experience. When you buy tickets, there's a calendar that says "Arrival" and then you select the date that you are arriving at the parks. It doesn't ask for a time span of how long you'll be there, or the dates you plan on going (if going for multiple days).
Our first day in the park will be June 20th, so that's the date I put as our "arrival." I bought our tickets, got the confirmation email, and all is fine.
HOWEVER... I have no desire to do our character dining experience on the 20th. Is it going to force me to use the CD voucher for that "arrival" date? I have SCOURED my invoice to see if there's anything on there about it, and all it says regarding CD is this:
"If you have purchased Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets and/or Character Dining tickets, your tickets are set up electronically with ALL shipping methods and you will NOT need a voucher. Please proceed to any of the main entrance ticket booths to pick up tickets. You will need to show a valid picture I.D. to pick up your tickets. If you are a guest of one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels (Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier Hotel) you may pick up your tickets at the front desk at the time of check in. Reservations are required for Character Dining. Please call 714-781-3463. Character Dining tickets must be picked up prior to your reservation time. Purchasing Character Dining does not constitute a reservation, or guarantee availability, at a Character Dining location. We strongly encourage you to arrange a Priority Seating up to 60 days in advance of the date you wish to dine by calling 714-781-3463."
IF the date I put as my arrival doesn't lock me into a CD on that day, why do they ask? I really hope it doesn't lock us in for that day, because I wanted to do Surf's Up on a non-park day later in the week.
