Considering taking the kids to this. I used to live in Germany when I was younger, and would love for my kids to experience some of the food...any opinions on the restaurant. Best time to go? I was thinking of lunch rather than dinner...since I've been told that prices are cheaper. Is this right? Are the menu choices the same or different?

We went to this restaurant in 2003 and we all loved it! We went in towards the end of lunch and were able to eat both the lunch and dinner selections when they switched it over, for the lunch price!

So, yes they have some things at dinner that they don`t serve for lunch but i can`t remember what exactly they were.

Take the kids, they will have a good time. I took my kids two years ago and they want to go back. We went for dinner and thought that the food was yummy. The entertainment was fun to watch. (My kids were too shy to join in the dancing.) The prices for lunch are less than the prices for dinner. Lunch is $15.99/$7.99 and is $20.99/$8.99.

Thanks for responses. Is the restaurant a buffet or menu ordering? What are the times for lunch and dinner?

We have been there twice in the past few months, for lunch. It is wonderful as ever. We love the show..although keep in mind..the show doesn't start until a bit after the very first lunch seating, although you are more than welcome to stay for it if you eat early.

I love Oktoberfest! Last time we ate there we sat next to a very nice couple and the man was from Germany! He said that the food was very good and reminded him of home, that's some compliment! I have a couple pictures of the interior posted here at the photopost...

Ducky4Disney....thanks for sharing the pics! I really can't wait until our July 2-12 trip...and our visit to Germany! We were planning on it during our 2000 visit, but never made it...

We ate at Biergarten for the first time last week and we (DH, me and 2 toddlers) enjoyed it. The way the restaurant looks like a German village is wonderful! The musicians are wonderful and the food is good. If your kids don't like the German fare there is a kids bar with mac and cheese and chicken.

There are two things on the dinner menu that aren't served at lunch. One is saurbraten and I think the other is roast pork, but I'm not sure. The apple streudel is great!
