Can you get kuchens anywhere in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot? My DF loves them, and we were told that Biergarten has them, but they're not listed on the buffet menus that I've seen.

There is nothing specifically listed on their dessert menu. But since Kuchen is just the German term for cake, I'm assuming you mean a coffee cake type of dessert. They occasionally throw in one or two different desserts, so you may get lucky.

Thanks! I called the Disney dining number to see if they would know, and the lady I talked to told me that it wasn't listed as a dessert on their buffet menu, so it's unlikely that they serve them. Kuchens are amazing--kind of like a pastry-type crust with a sweet, gooey filling.

Isn't it interesting how there can be many different desserts with the same name? The Kuchen that you describe is completely different from the cake type of dessert that we are used to. And the Kuchens served in Germany are different yet again. I wonder if the Karamelle Kuche shop would have a caramel topped kuchen?

When I have a look at my menu-app they mention Apple Strudel (Apfelstrudel) and Bavarian Cheesecake at the Biergarten and the Sommerfest.

The Karamell-Küche has no typical german "Kuchen" but they say they have hand-crafted Treads with Werther's Original Caramel. (sweets made in Germany).

It's funny to see that you are looking for german Kuchens :yay::yay:

It is! My DF is very picky about his kuchens. We've seen a lot of different variations of them. We stopped by the Karamell-Kuche in December hoping they would have them, but they didn't. :sad2:

Thanks! We will have to try those. We buy our kuchens from a local German bakery and they are AMAZING. It's one of our favorite desserts!
