Geography help needed!! What is the right answer??

Here is a question on Nick's test.
Relative location is location based on a .......
A. climate
b. specific landmark
c. time zone
d. political map

I don't like any of these answers because none are exactly correct. I know it is based on the location of a place based on the location of another place. Any ideas???

i would have to say landmark one because its located relative to that particular spot or whatever,

It's a specific landmark.

Absolute location would be a location described using longitude and latitude.

I agree with you Froggy. That's the one that makes sense to me.

The only one I can see being the answer is B - Specific Landmark.

I was going with landmark even though that is not how it was explained in his book.I'm glad everyone else agrees with that answer. It was the closest to anything. I don't like the use of landmark because it makes it sound like it has to be something like the Washington Monument instead of just Washington D.C. (I hope that made sense as an example)

I homeschool and Nick has decided to work through the summer to get a grade ahead in the fall. Crazy kid!!!!!

Relative Location can be based on ANY landmark as long as it's specified. So it can be as specific as the sidewalk at 42nd and Main, or as broad as Mexico.
