What rides or shows at Universal put no stress on the body at all?

Also I understand some rides have motionless versions. Can anyone tell me which rides have this?

Thanks

Others will post as well, but to start you off:
Stationary seats at Shrek, Despicable Me
I love the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Ride
Also, don't rule out going through queues just because of the ride itself! Forbidden Journey (Hogwarts) is amazing, Gringotts is fun, too. Also the stage shows are amazing.

Shrek also has the motionless seats. ET is totally tame. Dueling Dragons queue is worth a walk-thru too, if you're a Potter fan. Hogwarts Express is just a train ride (in terms of motion, I mean--it's "more" than a train.) Of course, all the interactive wand elements are non-action. As is the dino "facility" in Jurassic area. The Pteranodon flyers are tame, just sort of glide along--no more stressful than Dumbo, if that is acceptable. One Fish Two Fish (also like Dumbo) and the CarroSeussEl are there too. I'll keep thinking.

Thanks cgattis! Another piece of info - my wife can't do rides that go round continuously because of inner ear issues.

So far, unfortunately it doesn't sound like there's a lot there that we can do. It sounds like ET, Hogwarts Express, Shrek, Despicable Me, High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Ride, some queues, walking through Harry Potter and the wands.

If we add in the shows do you think this would be enough to fill a day?

I'm reading online that Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast may have stationary seats? Does anyone know if that's true?

How about Terminator 2:3D? Does that have motion?

T2 is basically motionless, apart from a small jolt at the end (very small) if I recall correctly.

There is the Horror Make Up show...

It's a shame your wife has inner ear problems. I was originally diagnosed with an inner ear problem due to dizziness coming and going (quite minor dizziness) but they now think it is related to pain free migraines and anxiety.

My dizziness wasn't great in Florida, but then again I wasn't used to the heat, the lack of caffeine, the lack of sleep and the long days! I came back and it went.

None of the rides set it off. Would something like Jurassic Park and P+B Bilge-Rat Barges be ok? They don't spin..well the Barges might but very slowly.

Hope you both enjoy!

Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast has been replaced by the Minions ride, and there IS stationary seating for that one.

I think there is PLENTY to do to fill a day (or more!) even if you can't experience many of the attractions... Here are some specific ideas:
*Enjoy the theming in all of the areas of both parks... especially the Seven Duffs topiaries in Springfield, the DeLorean and train from Back to the Future, Central Park... the list goes on and on! :-)
*Have a Duff beer at Moe's (or a Flaming Moe if you don't drink alcohol!) in Springfield
*Talk to the Knight Bus conductor and the shrunken head in London!!!
*The shows themselves could probably fill a day... Horror Make-Up, 2 different puppet shows (BOTH are definitely worth seeing!) in Diagon Alley, the Triwizard Spirit Rally and the Frog Choir in Hogsmeade, Blues Brothers, plus there are some pretty new additions - the food truck one, and the percussionist construction workers, and I think one more... Plus there are some really amazing acrobatic guys in colorful costumes who stack chairs a million feet in the air and climb on top of them... I get so nervous every time I watch them!!! Oh, and Poseidon's Fury is delightfully cheesy and definitely worth doing once!
*Enjoy the AMAZING restaurants in the parks. Mythos is a must-do for me!
*Watch the nighttime Cinematic Spectacular show in the lagoon (or whatever seasonal show is happening at the time)
*Character meet & greets - the superheroes are especially fun!! Oh, and Betty Boop, and the Simpsons gang, and the amazing Transformers meet & greet....

I'm sure that's not even close to an exhaustive list, but it's what comes immediately to mind!

Oh, I forgot Celestina Warbeck in Diagon Alley.... and having a Hog's Head Brew or a Butterbeer at the Hog's Head in Hogsmeade... and the "wand choosing the wizard" at Ollivander's....

Thanks Musicman and Snoopbook! I'll check all those things out.

Musicman How did they diagnose the vertigo as a migraine? Was there a test for that?

I think it boiled down to having a few tests for other things, basic GP tests, in ear check, etc. I was seen by a different specialist in Feb 2015 who said it could be Meniere's Disease. The latest specialist (I've moved cities) now thinks it is vestibular migraines as my hearing is fine. What happens is, you have a migraine for a fairly long period of time, but no pain, and the migraine affects your balance instead of creating pain. People can also experience migraines with pain and dizziness.

It is very hard to pin down what causes dizziness which creates a lot of anxiety for people, which turns into more dizziness.

Apparently it is quite common. Dizziness is horrible but luckily mine has gone for the past 10 weeks. I also think part of my dizziness is due to anxiety, which I know I'm currently dealing with and my dizziness flares up when I am anxious (had a rough year!).

Hope she is ok!

Thanks for explaining Musicman. My wife had seen many doctors over the years with no cause found. No one every mentioned the migraine thing. I'll have to look into that. Thanks so much! So is there anything you can do for it once it starts?

No problem.

I believe so; I'm due for a 3-4 monthly checkup in Jan 2016. I'm currently take betahistines which I'm told aren't that powerful and more like an antihistamine for things like hayfever. I've had them for about 11 months but I think they will try an anti-migraine approach when I see them next. They've also said the anti-migraine med may not be that useful as in you have to take it a lot and may not be dizzy that often, so it is a weighing up process for the patient.

They did a few tests just to be sure it wasn't anything serious and thankfully they are ok. I think that is routine in my current city though, as they can routinely test due to the amount of equipment the hospitals have.

Please don't think it could be anything serious! That drove me mad for a good 5-6 months and made me feel quite ill. If your wife is ok and is just having dizziness/vertigo, it shouldn't be anything bad.

Thanks Musicman. She's had this for over 20 years and went through a lot of testing so we ruled out those things. By the way, she uses a small dose of hydracortisone which usually works within 3-4 hours to stop the vertigo. She has that compounded.

With the reduced spinning, I'd put Cat in the Hat in the gentle category. It she can handle TSMM she can handle Cat in the Hat.

Glad to hear it's treatable :)

Is there a certain "procedure" for participating in the motionless version of a ride? Do you just wait in the regular line and make a request when you get to the front of the line? We're headed to Universal next week for the first time, and this seems like an appealing option to some in our group.
