Less Genie / LL MIGHT mean moderately lower wait times because a single person can only be in one line at a time. More people in standby lines could have an overall positive effect. But it would take a computer model to really do any meaningful predictions. I’m skeptical that the results would match what many people envision.

You don't have to guess. Defunctland (with assistance from Len Testa) ran these models as research for the Youtube documentary Disney's Fastpass: A Complicated History. I feel it is requisite viewing for any Disney park fan. It's fun, funny, and extremely eye opening.

Anyone have any idea how well Genie+ would work say at MK if you didn't start trying to book anything till noon?

It works fine if you use the refresh/modify method and aren’t there on one of the busiest days of the year. At the other parks where there are very few rides worth using it on, not so much.
