Genetics

Ok, so today in my psychology class we started getting into genetics and what traits we inherit from each parent.

So I was wondering what traits you got from each parent.

Me? Well, I look like neither. I look EXACTLY like my aunt, it's uncanny. The only thing I got from either of my parents was my dad's feet and my height (from my dad). If you look at a picture of my family, I'm the one who doesn't fit..

- freckles
- brown hair
- brown eyes (with a hint of green & blue from my daddyyy.)
- weird toes (like they aren't weird weird, but they look sorta like my dads, and sort of like my mums)
- shortness (my mum is four foot eleven, i'm one inch shorter than her.)
- bad skin

height (she's 5'4" and I will be just alittle taller than her tho.)

eyes (his eyes are a lite green--- I have FUNKY hazel eyes)

I've got brown hair from my aunt, brown eyes from my dad, my moms nose, my dads skin color (european, italian) some freckles from my dad, my moms laugh, strong teeth, great eyesight from my dad's side of the family, my dads height, 5'5". Mostly everything from my dad.

We learned about genetics in 7th grade. This is the age range you find out you are or are not adopted. My 7th grade class (WAAY back in the day), learned about this and someone in my class had a family who was all blonde and white as a sheet. She however was a brunette and a little bit tanner, when she came to her family and told when what she was learning and asked if she was adopted the parents told her she was and they put in a complaint with the teacher (but since this is manditory for all schools in the USA they could not do much about it.).

mom = everything..i look almost exactly like her when she was my age..our 2nd grade pics are identical..its kinda weird

tho i got my dads legs..dont kno if thats a good thing or not?? lol

BTW: This is a little weird, but if you compare pics of my dad when he was little to pics of when I was little, we look a lot alike (me of course in the feminine way... )
