Hi everyone, I just thought I'd post a general journal entry to let you know what's been going on lately, though school life is dull compared to wdw college program life. hehe.
The semester is half over! Yay! But the worst is yet to come as I have 3 big papers to do. ick. I did get a B on my 4 page paper for American Studies. I have to do an 8 page one for that class too and I plan to write on some aspect of Disney in the 50s.
I also managed to get a B on my western history test that I was freaked out over, which I'm pleased about because I made a D in the first half of that class last semester.
I've been working backstage all this month on a UT show called Nora, which is basically the same story as A Doll's House. I'm on deck crew which means I move furniture and do scene changes. It's pretty boring because most of the time I'm sitting backstage waiting, but the cast and crew are really nice. There's this Cuban guy in the cast who loves my voice (yes, I really do sing all the time) and sometimes calls me Sarah, as in Sarah Brightman, the first Christine in Phantom of the Opera. hehe. He's silly. All in all, I'd much rather be on stage than backstage, but oh well. I had to stay here for fallbreak to do the show and had to miss Aida which came to Memphis last week. Wah!
I met with my advisor about registering for next semester, and she thinks I should have no problems graduating in May. I almost cried with joy! I can't believe this is really my last year!
I tried a coconut creme frapachino at the Starbucks in the library study room recently....omigod they are heavenly! If you love coconut, you gotta try it!
My mom made me a great flapper costume for halloween. It's green with gold fringe. I bought a white boa to go with it. Only, I don't have anywhere to wear it...and it's starting to get cold here. hmm.
Today is my 21st birthday! (Thanks for the e-card, Dan!) Most of the day was just so-so because I had to be at the theatre for the matinee and then we had to stay after for a photo shoot. Booooring! But this evening, I went to Olive Garden with some friends. I ordered my first drink.
Something called Chocolate Almond Amore. It was a little bitter, but not bad. A guy on the crew for the show wanted me to go out and get drunk, but I told him I have no desire to make myself sick! I got a lot of neat stuff. I got a whole bunch of American Girl stuff, plus mom let me pick out a cheap dvd player so I can watch Beauty and the Beast here at school. hehe. I also got a beanie Beast, an old timey cookbook, and a Care Bear. I'm still waiting on a package from my boyfriend who sent his gift out late.
Mom is silly! She sent me a Tweety bird card meant for a one year old, and she put a 2 in front of it. lol.
Well, that's all for now.

I love hearing from you. If you ever come to New York we have to go to a show together
So good to hear all is falling in place for May. You sure sound busy enough. Looking forward to seeing you next year at WDW!!!
Happy belated birthday!
