general tips and info i've found in my wdw expierience

good question I think it was somewhere between 5-10 dollars. It's so fully worth it.

Not sure if this was mentioned or not but the baby centers in each park is like a cool down place for smaller kids as well. They have a tv playing Disney movies and small toys to keep them busy. I found this out because when my son gets hot or the Sun is hitting him he breaks out in a rash that looks like chicken boxs and itches like crazy( this is new to him and not like heat rash but same family) so we found it when we took him to first aid then next door to the baby station to put the medicine on him. My kids are 7 and 5 and its a good place to wind down instead of going back to room.

I cannot agree more about marking your stroller. We think we came home with someone elses stroller but cannot be sure we saw 4 just like ours....In toontown we parked ours right by the entrance to see all the charachters after seeing them and Mickey we decided to head to Tomorrowland through the quiet path....I looked and looked for the stroller must have been 20 minutes up and down toontown finally headed down the path to catch my wife to help me look and there it was half way down the path all by itself....My wife says its not ours but to avoid it again we claimed it and I tied my sweatshirt and my son left his drink bottle in it each time....When we left tomorrowland at Buzz low and behold right next to the one we just claimed was one exactly like it....Good thing it was only a 10 dollar umbrella stroller

We'll be going in a group of 11;hold planning meetings before making PS as we know our nephews are not going to want to see the princesses; also take into account fears of small children or shy kids-Dniece is very outgoing her brother is as well, but another Dnephew will be shy around sdome of the villains; same nephew is not going to want to have his picture taken with any character, no matter who it is

Since I'm stuck ont he Epcot tips right now I'll continue them. Ice station cool is very very fun. Warn your kids of the plastic but life sized "frozen cave man" in the case along the snowy hall way. Its no scary at all unless it catches you by absolute surprise. Once at the end of the hall there is a large room that has all varieties of coke merchandise. The main thing is the soda from around the world. Its all good except the Italian one. It's been a while so I can't remember the best but Vegabeta and the citrus one are both good. :jumping2: :drinking: :drinking1

back to the kid cots every country will also stamp a picture of mickey in a traditional hat of the country (i.e. toupe in France, headband in Japan). Looking at our most recent one I also saw that at Japan your mask actually gets a headband. Also a vendor at China may allow you to play with the chinese batons which are also known as chinese juggling sticks. This easily entertains kids from 1 to 92. The passport it a good idea as you get stickers and other things from other country. The WS is now one of our favorite places since this addition. Also don't miss Alladin in Morroco and the toy store in UK. Any place you go atleast has a kid cot and maybe and interesting store.

You don't need the Passport to get the stamps. The CM's in each country will put the stamp on the stick that the mask is on. The passports would be fun for grade school age kids. They have 5 or so stickers for each country with a picture of the country's flag and monuments. There's also a little goofy booklet that they were giving away for free this summer. It had places for all the stamps from each country, plus trivia questions about Epcot. If the kids filled out all the answers correctly and got the stamps, they received a free poster.

A fun thing to do with younger kids is buy a pressed penny book and get pressed pennies around the parks. My 4 year old son loved doing this.

yes I now realize that I was unclear. While the passport is a must buy in my opinion, it is not necessary for the mask, tags, or stamp. Sorry for the mix up
Both are really fun though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :cool1:

Adding to my last message: Our thirteen year old still loves this as he can relate to the stamps and stickers for each country because he learns about them in school. He can't imgagine how school actually made Disney more fun. Imagine that....

I can't remember if this has already been said but this is a hugely great tip. Everyone says "we should go to the early entry park" they never make it at the early time so they all get there late and the park becomes crowded. This makes for the first few hours to be empty and good. Then after about three hours you need to go to another park, probably epcot or MGM. This makes these parks not as crowded and you avoid the crowd at the early entry parks. Also always go to AK in the morning!!!!!!!!! The crowd is not even present (hardly)

COLD! We were at WDW from 12/20 through 12/26. We had 2 days warm enough to wear shorts, 1 day of drizzle (12/24) and 1 day of fairly heavy rain (12/25). We had morning temps in the 30's on some days with highs in the low 40's.

The decorations were beautiful. Characters dressed for the holidays, the candlelight processional in Epcot, and other fun, but remember to bring clothes for all temps.

When I went early December this year it was absolutely gorgeous, there was only one cold day out of the bunch :)

Does anyone have any tips on how to do fantasmic?(regarding the lines and limited seating) We try every year a different way and we always end up having to wait an hour or missing the show.

Have you ever seen the shows showing what a deadly projectile a box of kleenex is in the back of a car during an accident?

NEVER put Kleenex in the back of the car. It could KILL you.

I understand it will help you identify your car but it could also seriously hurt you. For that matter put a single piece of kleenex in the rear window of the car along with the ribbon on the antenna. No one will have that!

1. Per Unofficial Guide … ARRIVE EARLY
2. Take advantage of EMH, but leave that park at noon (I would assume arriving at EMH park late for evening EMH would be a good idea).
3. Make sure you understand the FASTPASS rules (they tend to change over time)and use them. For example, for some reason last year you could get a Jungle Adventure FASTPASS even though you already had another one.
4. If you are like my family and like to get there quick and stay late, you can burn out. After two hard touring days, take it easy on the third day, sleep in or go swimming.
5. Relax and enjoy just “being in the world”. Sometimes you have a constant feeling of missing things because the resorts are so large.

As the 2 feet of snow from last week finally starts to melt a little...and...
As I am thinking about our upcoming trip in May..... :goodvibes
I just CAN'T WAIT!!!! :Pinkbounc

I've started thinking about some of the good advice I've heard over the many years of visiting WDW...... :flower1:

Along with the "arrive early" in the morning....regardless of EMH or not!
Know when to "take a break"!! :D

When we were there last June.....one day at MK, it had to be about 95 degrees. It was around noon and we had fast passes for 1pm at Splash Mtn. So we decided to get a Mickey Bar and relax for an hour. :mickeybar
We grabbed a spot to sit on the porch over by Liberty tree Tavern.
PERFECT spot. the rockers were very comfortable....and....we could feel the cool air coming out of the building from the air conditioning!!! :earboy2:
It was one of the most relaxing hours we've ever spent at WDW. Enjoying the sites of MK and just relaxing away from the rest of the world!

The best advice I could ever give for a WDW vacation it to learn to enjoy every precious moment!!!! These are the memories you will take back with you!! That is the magic of WDW! :wizard:

Someone PLEASE tell me what EMH is!! I asked in another thread and can't find which one!!

Extra Magic Hour. A park on a certain day will be open an hour earlier or up to three hours later that normal operating hours for guests staying at participating WDW resorts.

Hope this helps!
