General Questions Before Trip??

I've narrowed it down to Loop 700 or 800; probably going to fax request for 800. Any thoughts?

How long does it take to get to the marina from these loops?

Is walking too far?

If we ride our bikes, is there a bike rack to park at if we leave while at MK? If so, can we attach a lock strap?

Walk or ride bike to pool.

Can you get satellite in these loops? I know we'll have cable, but just in case.

The excitement is overwhelming!!!!!!!!!!!!

700 is a short walk to the marina. 800 a bit longer, but still doable. We ride bikes often, and there are racks right at the marina, where the walkway hits the beach. Yes, you can lock them there. From those loops to the pool, I would probably bike it, but you could walk, especially from 800. Even from 700, you can cross over into 600, take the path across the bridge to the campfire area and the pool is a short walk from there.

I'll defer to others on the satellite question.

Satelite is hit & miss like many parks with a lot of trees. Bring your portable dish with extra cable but there is still no guarantee to find a hole in the trees close to your site.

this is our first time at the Fort as well , coming in late Oct/early Nov ,,,we requested loop 1400 when we made the reserv over the phone. Thought that would be good as it seems close to the activities for the kids, pool, etc...but wondering how Mom will make out with walking to the dock for the boat around Disney?

also, anyone know how spacious the sites are on loop 1400??

The boats only go to MK and a couple resorts from FW. There is a yellow line bus stop at the entrance to the 1400 loop that will take you to the Settlement for the marina or to the Outpost for the other park busses. Getting around really is easy whether you want to walk or not.

Sites are reasonably spacious, with enlarged concrete pads, but no sand pad at the rear. Site entrances have been enlarged which makes parking a lot easier and provides more space for a vehicle up front.
