Do you guys know if they have a general public discount code for the month of December? And if they do, about when will they release it? Can it be added if you make a reservation before the code comes out?

Here is a chart of release dates for various discounts from Mousesavers.com. It does not detail what black out dates or other restriction were, but perhaps can help you plan.

Yes, you can add a discount code to an existing reservation as long as there is availability for your resort. Not even resort or room category is always included, so you may need to be flexible and switch to a different resort to get the discount or promo or you may get pixie dust and everything you've already selected could be included.
