General Public Codes Released Today

For my dates of Dec 8th-16th I was just told it was good for AS Sports and AS Music only. I already had the Chase Visa discount for AS Sports, but wanted POP. I could use the AP discount for POP, but just the room would have cost me $530.96. Instead I have the room and a $75.62 one day MYW ticket at AS Sports for $515.47. The room portion of my pkg is just $439.85. Since when are the General Public codes and Visa codes better than the AP codes? I'm a little pissed .

you booked this with only one ticket?? i thought tickets have to be equal to the number of people in your room for this deal??

I have a package booked and my dates fall within the timelines laid out. I have to go to work in 10 minutes. Do you think I'll be able to call this evening and have them add the code to my package with no probs, or should I stay on hold until the last possible minute?

We're in October which is probably why we saved more. The rates change in late December or something like that.

We're staying Dec 9-16th. Was hoping for a nicer discount but, like I tell my kids, you can't always have what you want.

I called at 7AM this morning and got off the phone 10 mins ago. Saved $200 w/ the public ZQH code. Since Monday was not able to save w/ Disney Visa - no availability, no luck w/ AP code, but final the public code worked for BWI club level. I had AAA deluxe room reserved but only wanted standard club - it was available.

No luck with the poly or CR for any of my dates. So I am BWI CL 12/6-12/9, 9 day MYWPH & Poly GV 12/9-12/14 AAA for a total $4241.36.

No code for the Poly. I could have went to the GF and saved $600 but no Magic Kingdom view. She said to keep calling back a few more times before we go and something may happen with Poly and codes.

Last year we stayed at the Poly for Thanksgiving. When the codes came out they had nothing for my dates. I called back every day for a month and I was finally able to use the code for a package.

It pays to keep trying!

I got the $50.00 per night rate for Pop back in March for Dec 9-15. Before waiting on hold for an hour I'd love to know if this deal is better? I just had DH call but I don't want to waste his time if it's not worth it.

This is not yet the room only code release. That release will come soon, perhaps as much as a week or two off. It us the last to be released and the availability will be limited. They release it this way as they make more money on the packages.

OK - I just hung up. Their system wasn't coming back with a confirmation so my CM is going to call somewhere to get it resolved and call me back - hopefully within 20 mins. Yeah right...

I reserved a king bed room online at POR yesterday. No king bed rooms available there for my dates (12/16 - 12/25) so I moved to CBR. Funny - I was originally going to book at CBR except I wanted to be at a resort with a TS restaurant that served breakfast...CBR only does dinner.

One thing of note that I didn't know - since I booked online she said she had to use a different code...but didn't say what it was.

I found out, much to my dismay, that the codes don't work with the Premium Plan. I wanted to upgrade, but it's so expensive anyway I can't justify it in addition to losing the discount if I did upgrade.

Here are the stats - if I can get it confirmed:

WAS $2,865.14
With Discount: $2,524.34
Difference: $340.80

I just tried for POP Dec 8th-16th and was told it was only available for AS Sports or AS Music. It would be $54.98/night including tax (plus of course you would have to buy at least a one day MYW park ticket for everyone in the room, in order to make it a pkg.) For my eight nights it is $515.47 without dining and $827.39 with dining--for a solo traveler
