I was going to get my nails done this afternoon but i just dont want to go outside in the cold

Even though the snow around these parts was melting yesterday we had a new little dusting over night which has topped it all up. I must say we had a great weekend, we were invited by our friends to their place in the south downs and they have great hills and Richard actually took his ski's and went skiing while the Mum's took the kids sledging I love the snow for recreation but I do understand those that don't like it in their everyday life.

Welcome home Mandy it must be a shock to the system after Florida's weather.

OMG ! I am HATING this weather (and I've only had 24 hours of it ). I took DD to college this morning and the traffic lights on a major road were out, so there was major traffic delays (the lights on the Longshoot Nat) Then I popped into Nuneaton and I walked around hunched up and like I'd filled a nappy as 80 year old grannies zoomed past me with their walking sticks Finally I got to Asda and it looked like the shops were closing for a week as quite a few shelves were empty ~ absolute madness

Thank goodness I'm not going out again till I have to pick DD up from college. I'm going to stay in and drink lots of tea (and hopefully find time to finish off my holiday washing )

I too am so sick of this weather. Thankfully it seems to be very slowly melting here today but they do forecast more snow until at least Thursday.

I really am bored of being stuck indoors now.

Good morning everyone

I've had a terrible night's sleep (blooming jetlag), so I got up to wish hubby a Happy Birthday and see him off to work, and I think I'll go back to bed for an hour or so (Bek doesn't have college today)

I've decided not to venture out today, so it's a day vegging out in front of the telly ~ stay warm guys

Boring housework this morning for me, then gym followed by a lovely warm up in the sauna and steam room before picking up the kiddiwinks from their schools.

Apparently we a due a little more snow tonight, I'm actually hoping that we don't get it as we're starting to see a thaw here and I just want that yucky stage over with now

Morning all, I have the day off today as the heating broke at work yesterday,Kieran is still off school,he really needs to go back for my sanity!

Good morning everyone

I have had it with work, they finally pay my unsocial pay for the last 6 months, yay but they have only paid half my overtime pay Also found out I have to have an assessment next month for my yearly thing. Didn't know we had to do these as when we finish training we are fully qualified unlike technicians. Anyway its been arranged but as I was meant to have a shift that day I have had to be taken off the road but have been told I have to make the shift up on another day! I don;t think this is fair as I will be spending the day doing an assessment for the service not for my benefit as I don't gain anything for it

I had already pretty much made my mind up to start looking for another job. This is pushing me further to that decision.

Anyway rant over, hoping to go up to the shops in a bit as I need to get my mum something for her birthday tomorrow.

It is FREEZING here! It doesn't help that a nasty wind has appeared from nowhere: think ice-cold blasts in my face while I was walking to work. I could do with a balaclava!! Never mind, hopefully the worst will be over soon.

Thanks Joanne, no we haven't got any plans for tonight as he had an early birthday when we were away, when he had all his pressies and we went to Tusker House for dinner

When i woke there was nothing, but within the last half hour its snowing here again
Sorry guy's to get excited again about the snow when most of you have had enough of it , but i just can't help myself cause i love it

Same here hun, I was so pleased to finally see a little bit of grass yesterday and this morning it is all white again and it's still coming down.

Oh no not more snow. You all must be so fed up of it by now. A few days is fine but this must be into the fourth week of really cold weather.

My daughter is really enjoying herself here and I know you won't want to hear this but spends most of her day lying out on a float in the pool, each day she is getting a bit browner. I have told her the tan will fade as soon as the plane door opens in Aberdeen.

We have been away shopping this morning so she got some new clothes for work and a belated Christmas pressie, a new mobile as her last one ended up in a bucket of water.
