I had a fairly good Christmas apart from being ill with a virus. I'm now all better & going to make the most of my leave I have booked (I have nearly 3 weeks off)

I have my 4 year old niece for the next 4 days as her school has 4 training days & my sister is a teacher at a different school so can't take time off & her dad never saved any leave back

We have been to the park in the snow & are going to make some Ghirardelli cookies in a bit.

I have been to the gym this morning and booked the car in for a body repair tomorrow, DH decided to whip it around a high kurb over christmas

We saw a mouse in the kitchen last night, don't know where it came from or where it went, no sign of them before, I'm guessing because it was very cold last night it wanted to come in the warm Did I mention I'm absolutely terrified of them, we set two traps where we saw it last night but no sign FIL has put some poison down for us. I just don't know what to do, how am I going to cook dinner tonight, breakfast was a nightmare with me running in and out of the kitchen in short bursts slamming the door behind me, I can see the funny side but I can't stop thinking about it the blooming thing.....help!

Hopefully the flights will be ok, I am a couple of hours north of Aberdeen and as i type we have a blizzard.
I was just on the aberdeen airport website and it is advising people to check with their airline before they arrive at the terminal. I have my fingers crossed for you and your dd.

Thanks, i'm nearly always ill over christmas (must be allergic to it). I think it was due to been run ragged at work leading up to it.

The mouse has probably gone ( if they are anything like rats, they take the bate away with them). Check to see if any of your food has been touched (boxed chewed etc)

Well my poor daughter is still sitting on a plane at Aberdeen airport due to the snow. It should have left at 6.30 am and its still not away yet and considering her Heathrow connection is in 30 mins there is no way I will see her tonight.

Of course BA should put her up in a hotel overnight but she is dreading that and going to ask them if they can get her onto the Oman Air flight that leaves Heathrow tonight at 9.30.

I am so peed off and feel so bad for her as she is a panicker and doesn't have a load of confidence at the best of times.

All the schools are closed in Aberdeenshire so I am not surprised Aberdeen has some delays. Hopefully your daughter's flight will get out soon

Hopefully she will fly out tomorrow. I don't think the south will be getting as much as the rest of the country, so hopefully the flights out of Heathrow aren't too disrupted
