Just trying to catch up with all the news I've missed on here over the last 2 weeks.

Ebony is 5 today so we were all up bright (not) and early today. At the moment you can't see my living room floor with her pressies. Her favourite being a 99p pack of paper money. Why do we bother buying her lovely big pressies when she always likes the cheap little things .

That is SO organised!!! I remembered yesterday that I need to renew my passport before this upcoming trip - looks like I'll be taking a trip up to town to sort that out...

It's grey, grim and damp-looking here today but hey, this is England, what do I expect!!??

Later on (definitely post-coffee ) I'm having a go at transferring all photos and music from this laptop onto a separate hard drive!!! So please keep your fingers crossed for me, people!!! The reason for such excessive tech behaviour is this laptop needs a tune up so I'm taking it to the Genius bar at Bluewater's Apple store this afternoon and want them to also return it to it's factory settings so DS Samuel can then have it...

At 1.30pm I have my first gym session in over five weeks so I'm a little scared of that prospect too...

Ah well, better drink my coffee and face the fear...

Actually there might be a delay - my IF&WF guide has arrived!!!!

Transferring stuff to a seperate hard drive is straight forward you will be fine, I learnt the hard way after getting a trojan on my PC. Fortunately my dad's friend managed to get most of my stuff back but others were lost forever. So I now back up my stuff every couple of months

Yeah, I am paranoid about losing all my digital photos so have two back up hard drives with them on.

Yes totally agree, I back up all of our pics to an external hard drive. Very easy to do. Much better than putting everything onto disks.

I am at work, although I think the shop may be pretty quiet this week. the third week in the hols is usually the quietest in here. I'm going to take some time to make some space with our Yankee Candle display as Christmas stock is due in on the 4th September and we have had some customers asking for it already!!!

No it certainly isn't! I think we have got our monies worth out of the annual pass though, I think a couple of weeks ago DH took them there 4 days running as they just love the sandpits! It's only 15 minutes from home too so not bad on the fuel!

Thanks for your vote of confidence - much appreciated!!! It was incredibly easy peasy so both MacBooks and the iMac all backed up - I feel positively virtuous now... Changed the Apple store appointment as DS decided to go and play football so that's re-scheduled for Thursday...

We went to see G-Force today at the Trafford centre however DD decided she wanted to see Bolt instead which was showing as the early morning kids special, so ended up seeing that instead, also had lunch just the two of us which was nice and then had a look in the Disney store, which has loads of cute Minnie stuff in that I want to buy for DD and a few things for me.

DH has been back to the hospital for a gastroscopy this morning, and then he made biscuits with our DD's, before returning back to the hospital for my app with the Heart failure nurse!

I'm hoping it will be nice enough to get my washing dry. Mind you I need to buy a new washing line as one of mine (I've only a short garden so I need 2 lines to hang a complete load of washing) snapped last month.

It's very grey at the moment but the sun is trying to break through.
