General Balcony Request Question

We are traveling with a two year old that can't see over solid balcony walls. I know some resorts like Boardwalk, Copper Creek, and Boulder Ridge have a mix of balconies that have either a solid wall or ballusterss that one can see through if short like a standing toddler or sitting adult.

How would you describe a request for a see-through wall / ballusters?

I’d just say no solid wall balcony.

No way to do that with on-line check-in. Not sure there are any of this type of balcony slats, rods, balusters on those DVC resorts.

I just sign on to the Members website and use the email option under he 'Help & Contact' tab. I always do requests that way as I make them shortly after I book so there is plenty of time. Best part is that I get an email back confirming they added my request so I know it's been done. It may take away for them to get to the emails right now though, because they are so busy.

TBH, I would expect limited or pure luck in such a request. Room assignors don't have that info handy I don't believe.

I agree, I’d be shocked if room assignors had information about which villas had solid barrier balconies. If not having a solid barrier balcony was important to me I’d research the resort I was staying at, identify the location of the villas w/ solid barriers & request a villa elsewhere, then email my request to MSs. For example, I believe the BW view villas on lower floors at BWV have the solid balconies, so if I’d booked that view there I’d request a higher floor.
