Gene Pool is a Little Shallow

My parents got their flu shots yesterday. My mother called me all in a state. She said that they had both had a terrrible reaction to the shot. That they both had a huge lump at the site, it was hard and tender. She was getting all worked up. They ran to the store and then came by so I could feel it. Oh joy! I just felt it thru my dad's coat. It was hard and very large. Felt gross!

They went home and 20 minutes later my dad called and said "we're cured!"
How I asked. They took the bandaid off..........it was a COTTONBALL!!!!

I told them they were going to get Alzheimers and no one would notice!!!

This is my gene pool, I am in so much trouble.

That reminds me of the time I got my wisdom teeth removed. I was taking the gauze out of my mouth so that I could have my milkshake. There was one piece I couldn't get out though--it was stuck. I called my mom over and she said "Honey, you're pulling on your tongue." Hey I was medicated!!

omg that's great. awesome that they fessed up to it.

reminded me of a story. before we moved here, we had a neighbor who was a little flighty. one sunday morning the took the kids (ages 3 and 18 months)to the zoo so her husband could do yardwork in peace. apparently they had a great time and stopped for lunch at a hamburger place that was attached to the zoo, and since it was a beautiful day they sat outside. At one point her 18 month old daughter fell backwards onto the floor and was crying pretty hard. neighbor looked at her and realized she was bleeding...lots of blood. She freaked out...rushed her to the emergency room, hysterical, husband met them there. It wasn't long before the dr.'s were able to learn that it wasn't blood...it was ketchup.

I was actually hoping to learn something on this thread. Whenever I get a flu shot, I react very badly...one thing that happens is that I get a huge knot at the shot site...only it's NOT a cotton ball.
