Hate when that happens.

If you have someone blocked the number of threads on a page will be reduced.I'm confused. All of page one shows for me?
It's been speculated that they're gathering information.Fine by me. If you put certain people on ignore, those daily nonsense questions vanish from my list. NONE of them seem like anything that matters regardless of the answers being posted. When the OP never returns to engage in any sort of conversation, I don't see any point in them.
Maybe I am naive but I don't know what knowing if I live closer to a grocery store or school or hospital is going to do?It's been speculated that they're gathering information.
Yeah, especially since my city is in my profile.Maybe I am naive but I don't know what knowing if I live closer to a grocery store or school or hospital is going to do?

13 threads showing, 17 not.I'm confused. All of page one shows for me?
I only have one person blocked. And if the person you all seem to be referring to is the one I'm thinking of, I can still see all of their posts, since they aren't the one I have blocked. If you have someone blocked the number of threads on a page will be reduced.
Better safe than sorry, but seems like every "secure" website that I have an account with that uses security questions has been hacked. I think I am current covered by three different credit protection plans paid for by the owners of those websites. That's been discussed in the past. Some of the questions could be used as a method of identity theft. Things like hometown, city where born, how many siblings you have, etc. are things you shouldn't volunteer in any public forum. However, even when several of us pointed that out publicly on certain threads in the past, people kept right on posting their personal information. A little common sense goes a long way whenever you are online.
A single question may not appear suspect, but all of the questions combined over time could provide a lot of information for someone with a motive. That said, I have the only person who appears to be collecting this info for potentially nefarious reasons on ignore, so I may not know what you're referring to.Maybe I am naive but I don't know what knowing if I live closer to a grocery store or school or hospital is going to do?
Okay so a random person has all this information on me but how do they use it against me if they don't have any clue who I am?A single question may not appear suspect, but all of the questions combined over time could provide a lot of information for someone with a motive. True.Okay so a random person has all this information on me but how do they use it against me if they don't have any clue who I am?
This random person could be a bot that is storing information on a computer program for the sole purpose of stealing identities.Okay so a random person has all this information on me but how do they use it against me if they don't have any clue who I am?
Again how do they use this information if they don't know who I am? They don't know my name, where I live or any other actual identifying information? Not be snarky, I really am curious. This random person could be a bot that is storing information on a computer program for the sole purpose of stealing identities.
