Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

I wore red on gays days!!! I knew it was their color but I had NO idea what Gays Days at the MK was like! Over all awesome time! I have no horror stories to tell unless you count a few grown men dressed at Cruella DeVil or as Tinkerbell. We really did have a good time that day but it was VERY VERY busy!

I'm just happy to be at Disney. I couldn't care less who else is there. The more, the merrier! Also, I would probably wear a red t-shirt in support. Hope that wasn't too political. :guilty:

OK, I have a "gays days" story. Let me start by saying I had the brilliant idea that we should all wear the same color shirts everyday so we'd be easy to spot if separated. And, we had no idea about gay days (I'm sure you see where this is going). We arrive in Orlando about midnight and are staying offsite until the next day. We wake up Sat, put on our red shirts, and go have breakfast before heading to Disney World. There were 12 of us, so we couldn't all sit at one table. I sat with the then baby, Bonnie, Sil, and Fil. Mil sat with my other two girls and neice. DH, DS, Bil and nephew all sat together, in their red shirts. People kept looking at them and we couldn't figure out why. Finished breakfast, headed to POP. After checking in we were in the lobby a little while, and one of the CM's at the desk called me over. She was cracking up because it was gay days, they were all in red and so were we. We're assuming everyone at the restaurant thought my DH, BIL, and their little boys (both boys look just like their respective daddys) made a lovely little family. The boys wanted to change, but nope, we were staying the way we were. We ended up at DHS, so I'm sure that was better than if we had gone to MK. My Mil, Sil, and I kept walking together to keep the boys together. We found it pretty funny. BIL, I think, found it funny, too, by the way he ate a hot dog later in the day. :scared: A woman at another table couldn't stop staring at him. DH said no red shirts on our next trip. :rotfl:

SURE!!!! we all believe you. you sure you wanna stick with that story?

hehehehhehehehe

Didn't care who was there, just found it funny that we seemed like something we're not. We had already planned on going to DHS that day (it was Star Wars Weekends). And, we had already planned on wearing red. But my DH and BIL, both in red, on gay days, eating at a table alone with their 2 boys, that's absolutely hilarious!!

Our next trip will again be at the beginning of June, so it could be gay days again. Doesn't bother us, but we won't go to MK due to the crowds. And we won't wear red. Actually, we might just, it's not like the husbands pick their own clothes, they wear what we pull out.

Now that would be hilarious!!! :lmao: We didn't see anything like that on our trip. Lots of couples holding hands and stuff at Epcot the next day, but that's it. We live near Austin and you see much more just driving down the street. The city slogan is "Keep Austin Weird." And, it is pretty weird. It's also the Live Music Capital of the World. A great place to live, but kinda strange sometimes.

Remember, I work in NYC so there really isn't much that would strike me as weird or out of place. I also heard a story on here of some apparently unsuspecting person who wore a lime green tshirt at WDW and was approached by a DISer. The person had no idea what the DISer was talking about when they mentioned the DIS. :rotfl: I guess we should all be careful what we pack. ;)

Maybe I should wear a red shirt on gay days with a lime green mickey head on it. Then look confused if anyone asks me about gay days or the Dis. Perhaps one of those focker lanyards, too (I don't actually know what that is, but I've heard it mentioned). Anything else you can think of?

What color tshirts do the tour groups wear? Maybe you could also walk around with a flag on a stick or an umbrella, like the tour directors, and have your kids and family follow behind while you point out all the interesting places. :rotfl:

What about making a CM name tag? Have my name, Kerrie, but where I'm from be the state of chaos. (It is chaotic here!) Or maybe it should say Mama.

OMG, that reminds me of our Jan trip. I did matching shirts for everyone for every day. Now our group was 10 adults and 1 4 year old and the theme of our trip was All About Clayton (the 4 year old). So each shirt for every day had something to do with that theme.

I hate shirts that have big graphics on the front, I like my graphics on the back with only something small on the front in the right "pocket" area. So for our first cruise day, I made black t-shirts that had that Disney name tag logo with our names on the front and on the back was something cruise related that said All About Clayton.

This was after 5 days of matching at WDW (and having a lot of attention given to us at DHS by one of the street performers) so the adult kids were not enjoying it anyway and then we got on that boat and EVERYONE thought we were CM's and were asking the kids all kinds of questions about where things were on the boat, etc.

I've already been told by at least 6 of this group that there will be absolutely no matching shirts worn on our next trip. It was my one and only chance at glory.

You guys all went and got a life just when I need you most. I pulled a hamstring and can barely move. I'm so lifeless that I watched Big Brother After Dark (live video stream) for 3 hours last night.

I should just shoot myself.

What on gods green earth were you doing to pull your hammy ?

Oh by the way I make my ADR's tomorrow....
