Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

That's a great story. You're so brave; I could never just pick up and move. I guess it was meant to be because everything just seemed to fall into place.

Have you ever met up with an DISers before? I went nuts getting my LGMH from Home Depot before my last trip. Put them on my luggage, purse, etc. and when the time came, and I saw another DISer or two, I chickened out and didn't say hello. Funny thing is I only noticed one. My DD is the one who kept pointing them out to me. I just felt like a weird stalker approaching strangers and saying hey, I'm a DISer are you? :rotfl:

Not brave at all. I was so scared, and I would've backed out if it weren't for my husband. He grew up near the beach (Lima, Peru) so he was so happy to move closer to it. And we were both done with cold and snow. It's pretty enough, but I've had enough of driving in it to last a lifetime. I really didn't want to pack up my whole life and move, but now that it's over, I'm glad we did. We did lose a beta fish (don't try to move one of those 1100 miles!) and a hamster, but otherwise, we made it okay.

Yes, I've met a couple of DISers at the P&PP last May. We were all wearing our LGMHs and were at the front of the line to meet Jack. I also met one at BBB. I'm not shy about speaking up. lol I'll see a LGMH and say "Hey, I DIS too...what username are you?" I've met some great folks that way!

{Clears throat to affect best "mom" voice} Get back to work so that you can have a life when you're older! As mother to DS15, I've got the powa!

To bad that voice doesn't work on the rest of us.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: What kind of advice is that? Isn't that what this whole thread is about? The fact that none of us has a life? :lmao: :lmao: What kind of example are we setting for the younger generations? :rotfl:

I am having tea and Irish soda bread. :shamrock: Yesterday I bought my corned beef and cabbage for this weekend :yay:

I'm so tired today. I didn't sleep well due to my cat finding a nice warm place to sleep....on my head! Well against the top of my head would be more accurate. He's a pillow hog!

:rotfl: Now you know it isn't the pillow. Its really your head. :rotfl2:

He's horrible. I mean truly horrible. He lays his big butt down on the pillow right against my head then KICKS me until I make the appropriate amount of room for his butt! So here I am stuck with a small corner of the pillow while the cat is all sprawled out for a good night's sleep. :headache:

So I guess I had somewhat of a life today. I had to accept a donation check from the local rotary club for my library. So I got to go to lunch and give a little speech, which I was completely unprepared for. I was the last one to go though, so I had time to prepare.

Now that I've crashed from the big lunch and adreniline rush, all I want to do is go to bed.

My sisters cat has a big butt and little head. :rotfl: She says if he ever fell in their pool he would sink for sure. :rotfl2:

What no video of the big day? We need to live vicariously through others on this thread.

Congrats!

Wow, that's certainly enough life for one day. Go ahead and take a nap. You've earned it!

I wish I could, but now I have to work til 8 and do baby storytime tonight.

The check was only for $500...not that I'm complaining! It was nice to get anything...we're going to use it to buy some much-needed toys for the library, so I'm happy.

I have two cats and they each like to sleep on my head now and then. Neither one has done it for a long time. And sleep is precious to me right now, so I probably wouldn't tolerate a cat on my head...I wish I could store up sleep time for when the baby comes...
