Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

:lmao: Thanks for a great laugh!

PS I think that Mammoth Crocs make cold weather tolerable! Who ever invented those shoes deserves a Nobel Prize!

Okay, that just points more to the fact that I'm weird. I live in Florida and wear mammoths. :rotfl2:

Some people don't leave the office on their lunch break. They spend it surfing the net while eating their sandwich.

Some people surf the net from their cell phones while they're on the bus on their way to work, or during halftime of their kids football game, or even while waiting in line at McDonalds.

Some people send their kids to bed and instead of vegging in front of the TV, they prefer a little human interaction.

There are lots of reasons people come here, whether it's to read or reply. And there are lots of reasons people don't come here. It's not for any of us to judge them, we don't know their stories.

:thumbsup2 Exactly right.

My DH works 24 and 48 hr shifts along with working his mandtory 48 hrs a month at the fire station in town. I do not sleep well when he is not here so I come here during the evening when the kids in bed.

Yes I do come here during the day too but that's during my off times between the rest of the day to day stuff I do.

although, if I did, I wouldn't waste it on a message board.

I'm amazed at the number of posts some people make on these boards. I'm lucky if I can get in a half hour of reading every couple of days. I figured out the numbers for one poster and for over five years that poster has written an average of 12 posts a day - that's nuts! That's an average of at least one hour a day spent writing - never mind how much time is spent reading - I just don't get it. Who the heck has that kind of time? And, most of the posts are the same thing over and over.

Anyway - I love the disboards, but golly gee whiz - I just can't imagine having that kind of free time and spending it all online. I have so many friends and family that keep me busy all the time - I guess, if I were alone - I don't know. Seems really sad to spend all one's time on a computer with strangers. But, I guess, to each his own. :confused3

Great for you to have so many friends and family----as many of us do. In fact, many of us have extended friends and family here, too----it's our way of "visiting"---hence the high post counts.

I really do hope you didn't mean to be as rude as you came accross.

:confused3 Everybody is different. I'm not even going to guess how much time someone spends on the board. It's not my business.

Glad you have so many friends and family to keep you busy. Some people don't. I don't think it's sad that they've found a way to be social. I think that's a good thing.

Ok I'll admit it, my life is dull, yours is better, tell me about it :listen: popcorn:: :sail:

Well, she can't come back to this thread now, she'll look like a hypocrite for wasting time posting that could be better spent.

Well not to be rude and all but since you actually had the time to check how much somebody posts and do the math to figure out how many per day etc., then post about it, I tend to question just how little time you really have. You know, between your friends etc. and all. Just saying.......

What's even funnier (although possibly only to me) is that you don't have to "do the math". If you look at someone's public profile it tells you the average number of posts per day - no math needed!

Not sure what you meant by your post OP but it reads a little like a passive agressive way of putting others down in order to make one's self feel better.

To me, that's a little sad.

She could always log on under a new name and agree with herself.

She won't be back since she has such a wonderful and fulfilling social life.

Posts like this are always nice, because everyone knows it's always kind to call people out and call them losers.

Some of us can also read and post fast ;) so it doesn't take nearly as much time as you would think.
