This thread is for all those queens and (Womanly Kings, hehe) who dreamed of working for the Disney Company. I don't know if one of these exists already, but I just had to share the good news.

It's been a hot minute since I've posted on here, but I am happy and proud to say that I am FINALLY going to be working for the Disney Company. YAY! I have talked the talk and walked the walk, rubbed elbows with a few of the head honchos, and I'm now "friends" with such folks as PLUTO, Mad Hatter, Mr. Smee, and Friar Tuck. Don't believe all you hear, guys, Mr. Smee's a nice fellow.

The audition process was kinda grueling, but it was SO much fun. I had a blast the whole time, and I cannot WAIT to help bring awesome experiences to everyone. Like, I get goosebumps when I think about it. It makes me giggle a little, haha.

Anyone else working in Entertainment? I would LOVE to chat with you guys, this is such an awesome opportunity. I swore I would have been working in Attractions, because I had signed all my papers and was getting ready for Traditions class this Thursday for Attractions at Fantasyland, and then I suddenly got the call telling me they had a full time position available.

Congrats:thumbsup2

Maybe we will have a chance encounter when I bring the nephews down in January!

Totally! I love doing voices, and Mad Hatter's is just so much fun. ^_^

Just an FYI....

We never, EVER, reveal which if any characters are our "friends". Regardless of the age group you are talking to.

You simply work in entertainment.

That being said, congratulations on your new position and welcome to the company!

I don't work entertainment, but feel free to stop by and say hi some time!! I know entertainment is global so it can be hard to tell where you'll be from one day to the next.

They must throw those entertainers all around. I noticed the guy from the Hoop Dee Doo last October was doing the Pirate Show in MK in Jan. We both recognized him instantly, he's kind of a chubby guy (not like I can talk), but we had taken a lot of pictures at HDDR. Funny when you start to recognize CM's and entertainers. I wonder if they recognize repeat guests? LOL

Sometimes they do recognize repeat guests. But they don't throw entertainers around unless they requested to do something else. There are sign ups for parties and such, and some shows or performances have separate auditions.

Eeeeek! I LOVE the mad hatter!! That is so awesome! Congratulations! You are so lucky to have such a wonderful job!

Thanks so much! It's really excited to "know" folks like these, they're all such energetic guys, especially Mad Hatter. I hope you get as much of a magical feeling as I do being "friends" with them. :)

Congratulations!!!!

DD and I are headed to Disney in October...we'll have to scope you out...

All the best!
Rosie

Congratulations!! I'm so glad your dream came true. I'll keep an eye out for you when I'm down there.

I'll have a friend take a picture of my good "friend" Mad Hatter, sometime, so that I can share him all with you. ^_^ Thanks for all the wonderful comments, I'm so excited. Tomorrow, for my 3rd training day, I'll be spending time with Pluto at EPCOT. He invited me to hang out with him and Mickey and Minnie in the morning, so I thought it would be a great idea to go over there. My friend Sarah will be hanging out with him too. ^_^
