Just thought I would share this . . . We have a GE microwave Model (mid-size counter model) JES1139WL03. A few months ago I noticed the paint on the inside bottom of the microwave bubbled and flaked off. I knew this was not good, but did not think it was a big deal.
I finally called GE today--I was told to immediately stop using the microwave and replace.
Ughh! What did we ingest? It is about 2 years old and no longer under warranty. They did offer me a $25 goodwill certificate towards another GE microwave.
The reviews on Best Buy and Amazon are terrible for the GE microwaves and not very flattering for any microwave for that matter. More than a few reviews said it died after 3-4 months and others could not get the door open. I really liked the microwave. I am tempted to go with a GE again, but I am hesitant. Any recent experiences with GE microwaves?
