I'm having trouble getting "search" to work.

Does anyone know anything about views for the GCV rooms? The member services employee told me there weren't different views to request...??

That doesn't seem right.

Has anyone stayed in a particular studio with a particularly nice view? It would be so magical to have a nice park view. Our home resort is OKW, and while all the views are pretty, it's so amazing to stay somewhere with a park view.

Will I be able to call to put in a request now that my reservation has already been made?

TIA for any information!

We are SO EXCITED!

We just got back from VGC and stayed on 5th floor in a 2 bedroom overlooking the large hot tub. Very quiet. I had requested a park view and would have preferred that but didn't get it.

Sorry you didn't get your requested view. How was the villa otherwise? Did you have a good time?

Any tips?

We did have a good time. This was our first time as DVC members. Went to Fl in 2007 and rented points there. The villa was very spacious. We picked up groceries on the way in. We were able to cook in the villa and really saved money. Master bed a little soft. Sofa bed a little hard. My kids loved each having their own bed and I loved the 3 bathrooms. We are a family of 6 so space was great for us. Some things were missing from villa that were on the posted supply list. No dishtowel, no potholders, no measuring spoons. I called to request these items (along with extra pillow, blanket) but only got the pot holders on the 3rd call. Also requested a stepstool (also on supply list as a requested item) but was told they didn't have any on the 2nd call. Room was ready by 1:30pm (sunday) when I called to check but we didn't arrive until 4:30. Bell services were quick and nice. Loved the proximity to DCA. Kids went to grizzly rapids in swimsuits one day then returned and went straight to the pool - very nice! Kids went on the savenger hunt and thought it was fun. The prize was a coupon for a cookie at white water snacks. The walk to disneyland was a little long, esp in the evenings. We were able to cut thru DCA one afternoon and that seemed shorter. My older kids went to the business center b/c they wanted to check something on the computer but were told they couldn't use the computers b/c they were for "business" only. They were disappointed as they are used to using computers in other hotels. Parks seemed crowded but we used fastpasses when needed and didn't wait more then 20 min for anything. Elevators very fast - never waited even one minute! Room was quiet. We liked the music piped into the pool area in the mornings.
We are now trying to decide on going back to FL next year or conserve points and go on a cruise!

Sounds like a good trip!

I am looking forward to our trip in May.

You won't go wrong no matter what you decide. We love WDW...and last year we did our first 3 night Disney cruise and loved it, too.

Have fun deciding!
