Family-two adults and two teens would like to stay at GCV
......... would like to know if someone thinks the Studio could sleep the 4 of us with some privacy or not.
What is a reasonable cost/point? What happens if vacation plans change and I have purchased the points?
I am lost!

I know this has been asked trillion times.

a studio is basically like a hotel room - one room + a bathroom. there is one queen bed and one pullout sofabed - they are right beside each other...so no privacy with a studio IMO.

What is a reasonable cost/point?

$10-12 per point is common.

What happens if vacation plans change and I have purchased the points?

if you want a cancellation policy, you may be better off dealing with disney directly. many DVC owners do not offer refunds.

here is a link that might be useful.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa at VGC in September. There were 5 in our party: me, DH, DM, DD (14) and DD (10). Before VGC opened we were regular guests at GC so we have always liked the location, ect. We really liked our villa but we (okay -- DH, DM, and DD (14) ) decided that for our June stay they, I mean, "we" would rather stay a few days less and stay in a dedicated 2 bedroom villa. A 1 bedroom would work for you. There is a pullout couch and a murphy bed so your teens would each have their own bed. But I think a studio would not be as good because it would feel like less than a regular hotel room in that there would only be one regular bed and couch with a pullout. The space in their studios (my DS was there at the same time last September so I checked out their studio) is about the same - maybe a little bigger - than the GC rooms with 2 queens and a daybed. But if you are going to rent points I think you would feel more comfortable in a 1 bedroom. :thumbsup2
