GCV 7 months - possible?

any idea if a studio 7 months out is going to be feasible?

Just booked a studio room for a late a October - Saturday night stay with no problem.

Hard to say. Since the resort has not sold out yet, there is no way to tell how booking at the 7 month window will be. IMHO, I think it might be difficult in the future, since there are only 48 DVC units. My guess (and it is only a guess) your best shot would be within the first year of opening. As more contracts are sold, rooms become available and your chances of booking increases. That may be why the last poster had no problem booking for late October.

I could be wrong, so I welcome any corrections made here. Like I said- only my opinion and guesses.

what you're saying. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Luckily, I have enough points that if the Villas don't work out I can book oneofe the DL hotels for us, just one less day. Anyone know how bad it is on the 4th of July for first timers? We have done DW at that time, but since we're vets there it doesn't really matter what we see/do except for the fireworks which we like to catch from the Poly beach. I'm just wondering if we should go a week later and skip the 4th of July all together. That's my DH dream vacation, going over the 4th, but he's flexible. I posted this question on the DL forum but didn't bet any answer. Thanks.

Paradise Pier & Disneyland Hotel are still available. GCH is not.

I think that unless you are booking for holiday weekends, you are probably going to be OK, but I would definitely call as soon as you can. We booked a 1br for Jan in Aug and then modified it to a 1br in Sept w/ no problem. We also booked a studio for Nov in Aug.

I think once DCA is in full swing, getting ressies at VGC will be next to impossible for non owners. Just check out the plans for DCA, and the lagoon water show.

I agree with Longhairbear, Once the resort sells out it will be difficult to get in. Remember, VCG is the smallest DVC and the Hotel is always near capacity.
