OMG i get my gcse results 2moz tbh they dont matter to much to me as they do to the rest of my friends as im moving so they dont count towards anything in the states

i took french and i dnt think ive done very well in it as we used to have it on a tuesday morning and me and my friend are massive one tree hill fans so we used to spend the whole lesson talking it about it.

Lol, your poor teacher.

Umm, next year I'm doing English, Maths, Core Science (which i've been doing this year, taking modules and stuff), Geography, History, Food Technology :l, Spanish, Religious Education (forced to take it, we're a catholic school)OH and Business and communication studies.

What are you getting back tomorrow?

i took pe, food, geography and french as well as addtional science, maths and english lit and lang.

We also had to rs in year 10 but short course and ict short course but year 10 and 11.

(Yr9 here) I get Design tech, chemistry & biology tomorrow. (Did Physics earlier this year)

Think I failed DT, never even wanted to do it but most of us in my DT class don't care, none of us want a job in a design workfield.

Good Luck. I've got my exams next year. So far in the moduler Science I've done really weel with getting an A and A* I don't think I've done so well in the last one though. I've taken French too, but I don't think I'm going to do too well in it.

I start my GCSE's in September.
Good Luck for tomorrow everyone that's getting results. :)

You're so lucky to only be doing the short course. We have to do the whole course in both of them plus P.E. I've taken French, German, Music, History, Additional Science as well as Maths, English lang, English Lit and Core Science.

:scared: I get them tomorrow as well D-: I think i've done OK in English and RS, not sure on Maths as the calculator was hard, i'm really worried about Geography because I was expected to get an A, but in the mocks I got a C, a bit worried on the Physics, mainly because I missed most of 2, and all of 3, but I managed to learn enough to get an understanding of what to do. Everything else, I don't really mind about (but still hope I get at least a C in them)

good luck everyone!

i don't get Gsce's sat's for me :)

what is food technology?

I think the equivelent is Home Economics?

I passed all the GCSEs I took (I gave up on PE, Drama, Food Tech and Music.)

I got 9 GCSEs overall, 7 Cs and 2 As :)

I have no idea... It's good for when you leave your school about 4-5 months before the exams, because you hated almost everything about it...

My friend got 7 A*s, 2 As and a B. That really shocked me.

Omg george! Well done  Thats awesome.

is 7 c's good?

Yes, very good. A*-C is an employers pass, even lower than a C is also really good.

I got my french result back and I got an A :D:D:D The rest of my GCSE's are now next year. I'm so happy with my result :)

well doneeee guys!

our standard grades are basically your GCSEs, but we only sit 8
i got 1s (like an A) in maths, french, graphic communication and geography
and 2s (like a B) in english, art, physics and chemistry

last year i sat my Highers (just less than A-Levels)
i got an A for geo, B for english and art C for maths and failed physics (D)
we only sit 5 btw.

This year im taking advanced highers Art and Geography and Higher business management:)

What are GCSEs?
Are they like mandated tests that schools force you to take to show "overall" how you are doing? Like if you're an advanced student or if you need more help? And then based on how well the results are the government gives money to the schools?

We have those, but they all have different names since they're mandated by the state. Like in Pennsylvania, we have the PSSAs. Pennsylvania State Student Assesment.

And is your grading system similar to ours?
Like A+ are the best of the best, A is close to the best, A- is near the best. Then B is pretty good, C is good, but needs work. D is bad, and F is failing. The +s and -s follow each letter too.
