The first time we had a good view - which was a good thing because my daughter wanted to leave until she saw what was what was outside our window. All I could think of was that we had to return to the airport to try and get back onthe plan and I was out 2 airline tickectsand atleast one night lodging. Thankfully I was able to get her into the room on the pretense of using the bathroom.
This sounds like a story and a half!

We had an electric violinist by the name of Drew Tretick right below and slightly opposite our balcony for 3 of the nights, this guy is absolutely AMAZING.
We saw Drew Tretick when we were there last time and we also thought he was just incredible! My oldest DD was not-quite five at the time and we couldn't pull her away. Now she's almost seven and started playing the violin and is loving it. I can't wait for her to be able to watch him play again! Do you remember what night he was there?
We've never paid extra for a view room. I just have a hard time justifying the expense for the amount of time we'll be in the room. When we stayed at the Grand last time was probably the time we could have most used the view. We were in the room for 2+ hours each day for naptime and it would have been nice to look out on the parks -- especially since the room itself seemed so small. Instead we looked out on an inside corner and a roof with vents coming out of it. If we strained, we could kind of see the pool.
When we stayed at the DLH four years ago, we ended up with a pool view on about the seventh floor. It was amazing! But, I'm especially glad we didn't pay the extra $150/night since we got it at standard rates. I'd be very, very bummed if I payed that extra money and then got an iffy view.
