GCH spa massages worth the cost?

Has anyone had any of the massage (or body wrap) treatments at the Mandara Spa at GCH? They are always more expensive than I can find other places (non-disney) so I wondered if anyone who has massages at home can give a comparison. Did you feel it was worth the extra cost?

Also, do AP holders (I'll have a DAP or PAP) get a discount?

Thank you.

I only went once, but for me, it was worth the price. I scheduled a massage right in the middle of a week-long trip, and it really helped to rejuvinate me!

It is over priced, but it was a very nice experience.

I will let you know. I got the travelzoo special and am scheduled to go next weekend :)

But, there are no Annual Pass discounts. You also can't use Disney gift cards to pay for the treatments (I have some Disney GCs burning a hole in my pocket that I'd like to use for the gratuity). Well, maybe the only way to use Disney GCs is to have them charge it to your room and then use Disney GCs?

Used the travel zoo package at the end of Sept and it was wonderful! LOVED the massage and body scrub. Will do it again next year. Even with out the deal it's worth it. :)

Yes, you can charge the gratuity to your room and settle the hotel bill with gift cards :thumbsup2

My wife will be happy to hear that :goodvibes
She will use the coupon deal on our next trip, but a massage could easily become a regular part of our DL trips

My wife and girls absolutely love the massages, seem to be a regular happening when we are there now.

Funny this should pop up today. I'm going down to Southern CA next weekend to pick up my daughter from college. We thought it would be fun to get a mother/daughter massage. However, the daughter has to be 17 or under. My daughter is 18. Has anyone done this massage with an older teen? How do they know how old they are? :confused3

I'm so glad this thread was started. We have been wondering what to get my dad as a Christmas gift (it's not his holiday anyway and he's sort of hard to buy for). This is PERFECT! I'm calling to book tomorrow! I can't wait.

ter-moo, what about a couples massage? My mom and I have done that other places in the past. We just them we're mother daughter, not a couple, when we book.

I looked into that. The mother/daughter massage was 25 minutes and $150 for both of us. The couples massage is 50 minutes and $275. That's a little more time and money than we wanted to spend. They did tell me that we could arrange for regular 25 minute massages, but I have a feeling we'd EACH pay close to $120 for those, and they said we'd be in separate rooms. That kind of defeats the purpose of doing it together. :sad2:
