I thought I read some where that they will let GCH guests into DCA early. Although I could have just dreamed :cloud9: it cause I can't find that info now. I thought I read that it was like a morning walk/workout thing, not to start riding rides or anything. Does any one know if it's real or am I dreaming? I would much rather walk though DCA in the morning that on a treadmill... that is if I make it to a treadmill :lmao: I would be much more likely to do a walk through DCA than a treadmill! :thumbsup2

They do offer some sort of fitness walk in DCA to GCH guests. I didn't get to do it, and I don't think it was everyday, but it was definitely on the hotel activity list.

If I remember correctly, they open a half hour early for GCH guests. The only ride open though is Soarin'.

They open a half hour early to the general public, not just guests of GCH. The only ride open during that time is Soarin, but the shops are open, too.

They do have a fitness walk, you could ask the concierge about times.

One special activity that we participated in was a "Condor Flats Tour", which is not advertised at all. We did it two years ago, so I'm not sure if they are still offering it. We went to the private entrance to DCA a few minutes before 9 am and asked the CM at the gates if we could do the tour. He radioed for a CM to come greet us and take us into DCA 15-20 minutes prior to that early opening time. We were the first guests in the park. We strolled thru Condor Flats area and he gave us some brief information, then walked us over to Soarin where our small group of 6 got to have the first ride of the day by ourselves and sat front row/center. As we were getting off, they had just opened the park at 9:30. It was a really neat way to start the day. :thumbsup2

and it isn't always 30 minutes early. They coordinate the opening, when we got in it was about 15 minutes early. We rode Soarin, no wait, and then went to the rope drop to get onto the roller coaster. Some people ran, but we just did a brisk walk, and got on the roller coaser within 5 minutes.

Thanks for the info. I will be sure to check it out.

If anyone else has other tips, please share!!:thumbsup2
