GCH park view ??'s

I saw some pics of a park view on the GCH super thread. Some of them were really not worth the $$ paid. I'm starting to re-think my first Onsite stay and the cost of it all. GCH would be great to stay at if I got an Ideal room, but I'm afraid of being disappointed when I paid a ton of money for a room and view I didn't like. Maybe I should stay at DLH? I'm not real interested in staying at the PPH. Wondering how many renovations will still be in effect when I go in August or September? Thanks in advance. If this sounds choppy it's cause I'm on my phone and it's hard to type lol.

I do not stay at GC because of the view..if you are only staying there for that then I think you will be disappointed. I stay there because I love the design, the rooms, the CMs and most of all the LOCATION..I've had perfect views and parking lot views and still loved the experience.

You're right, I shouldn't stay there because of that. I probably will love my room and the location... I guess I could rethink paying extra for the view, who knows maybe we will be upgraded! I just have never been in a hotel nicer than a Holiday Inn I have a while to decide but I'm tellin ya this trip is consuming me!

We stayed there in a standard room. Our view was of PPH across the street. The room location was perfect, just a few doors down from the elevator straight intoo the lobby. We could hear the piano music in the evening from our room. I would not pay more for a view of the park as really, we were either sleeping or in the park. We loved the location and if we are lucky enough to stay there again, would only pay for a standard room again.
