GCH entrance to DCA

Hi. Can I use this entrance in the morning if I am staying at DLH?

That's a big YES!! But it's probably faster to go to the main entrance if you are going at opening. It's faster especially since you have to go all the way around to get to RSR with the construction of the Condor flats area

Thanks!! Will probably use main entrance for RSR but if we realize we need WOC fastpasses would do the other entrance. Can wait! less than 60 days!

For park opening use the main gates. The line at GCH can take much longer to get through. There is not a rush to get WOC tickets.... You can easily get them after RSR or another several rides.

I personally like the GCH entrance. It is always fast for me and closer to the middle of the park.

When staying at the Grand in December they were checking room keys until 11:00, every day.

The entrance was open to everyone after 11, but only to Grand guests before that. I was suprised because I only thought it was limited to Grand guests during the extra early morning hours.

This could have just been during the busy Christmas time but wanted to give you a heads up

The GCH entrance is open to ALL DL Resort Property guests (PP, DLH, GCH) until 11am then open to ALL guests in general.

I personally like going in this entrance to grab WOC FP, but with Soarin' closed I would do the main entrance.

That's EXACTLY what I thought, but they were only letting in GCH guests!! It was really weird - maybe the CM was confused

So is the pathway from GCH to the front of DCA completely closed via Soarnin'. One reason I like to stay at the Grand is to walk this way back even from DL.

Correct - there is no access to Condor Flats from GCH entrance currently.the path is completely boarded up. You can only turn right out of the entrance (towards the Pier)

Actually the walking time and distance from the GCH lobby to the center of the Esplanade is almost identical if you go through DTD or through DCA (before the walls went up). Have timed it many times!
