Would you start with a DTD view and end with a CA view or start with CA and end with DTD view and why? Thanks - I'm getting ready to make my ressie and not sure which way to go. I have not been to DL and am looking for advice for those who know.

When is your trip?

CA closes early some nights now and they turn off the big lights on the coaster and ferris wheel. If night lights are important, then you might want to check the schedule first.

DTD view: if you are up high enough you can see some fireworks, might want to end your trip that way.

Thanks for reply. We are planning spring break 2009 and I just checked but don't think the hours are out for 2009 yet. DVC point-wise, the CA view is more but I have heard the DTD view may be louder at night.

Yes, DTD is louder at night. The doors/windows are of high quality and help to deafen the sound.

CA usually has later hours on weekend nights.

Have fun!

I would do CA then DTD. I think that the noise level was very good at the DTD level. With the doors open, it was like you are down there at street level. But when they closed, it was like you were a block away. The view there was amazing. You can check out my trip report for some pics of DTD

We're at GCH right now. There was some delay checking in because the CM had to check to see if our room was ready. We booked a standard view which is the garden view. But we ended up with a DTD view, we're loving it...well except for the caramel corn smell coming up from below us. We're on the 3rd floor over the Disney Store and will be able to see the fireworks.

Last time we had a DCA view and the lights went off early. I took pics of that view and I took pics of this view. Will post them both when I get home.

We just finished watching the fireworks from our balcony WITH the music along with coming from our TV. So my recommendation is stay with the DCA view first and then end with DTD view watching the fireworks with music from your balcony. The only thing that is tough is the caramel corn smell coming in the room. I think we found our new favorite GCH view.
