Can anyone tell me are the rooms the same on the consierge floor as all other floors, is it worth the extra $$.? Doe anyone have any pictures from thr room that had a theme park view?
TIA:thumbsup2

I have not stayed concierge yet but am in July 08 for 7 days. The rooms are the same whether you have a view or not. All the concierge rooms are on the 6th floor.

When I asked concierge if it came down to having a garden view with concierge or no concierge but had a park view what would you pick...she said the view for sure.

This question came about because am using my DVC pts for New years and have a view of the park. They had no more rooms available for park/concierge. So if we wanted to switch to concierge we would have to give up the view. I have had the garden view before so wanted to now if gidving up my view was worth the extra cash to add on the garden....she said...take the park view and not the garden.

so if you can get the park view with concierge and you will use the concierge benifits of the food and such than I would say yes. I dont feel the perks are all that great but we are doing it using our pts which for the value is a lot less.

When in July we will have concierge for 7 days with a park view and after that will decide if it is worth it our selves. We have stayed many times without it. But it may be like our cruises...never had a Verandah but once we did we were hooked and never sail without one:thumbsup2

May turn out to be the same for concierge:love:

As the previous poster mentioned the congierge rooms are on the 6th floor and are the same as the regular rooms.

We really enjoy concierge. It made it especially easy our last trip since DS was only 6m old. DH would get us breakfast and bring back to the room so I could feed DS. We had already planned to go concierge this trip and when the AP4 rates made it half price, I jumped for joy!

I found some pictures of our view(s).

The first one is the view from our original room. It was nice, but it was not the view that I had pictured in my head (and it was one of those rooms that is a really long walk).

The second picture is the room where they moved us to with the perfect view. When I explained what I had wanted our view to be, they moved us without any problems. This is the view that we always get now. Makes you feel right in the action.

We stayed concierge in October 2005. Here are two pics from our room.

Can you get those types of view rooms with just the standard rate? (I got the $199 AP rate).

thats cheep how did you get that price??? I checked today and they said the SR was over $400:confused3

You get that much of a rate with AP? SR are views of the parking lot or garden.

I was also quaoted for a SR 199 havin gthe AP$ rate. I figure out wthat I am saving money by buying the AP, I was spoiled in DW with concierge let's see if I get spoiled with GC. I have to sya I look forward to getting my breakfast, might not be pancakes but doesn't matter, I sit on the deck and just relax, no noise, just peace :thumbsup2

I know! I didn't know how either until this board. Apparently they have special AP promotions every now and then. You have to ask for the special AP4 rate! It's kinda like a flight seat sale, though. There's only a certain number of rooms available for it...

:goodvibes Hope this helps! I know everyone here has always been so helpful to me!

If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to pay for the concierge? Did you still get a special rate?

Thanks!

I paid 279 for concierge theme park view, with AP4 but before I booked this I booked just a regulaar theme park view room and that was going to cost me 239 so for the extra money for the Ap it gives me even more incentive to go back next yr not that anyone has to twist my arm, I love DL

I can so relate! LOL! We live in Canada, and I would still gladly go back every year! (so far I've almost pulled it off, too, we went in 2005, 2006, and now we'll go either Dec 2007, or Jan 2008!) My kids laugh, and just say, "Oh, Mom, quit torturing yourself!":rotfl: Mind you, they don't mind it when I manage to plan another trip...

Yes I got the special AP4 rate for cocierge theme park viw room for $279.00 a night, that is a good price. LIke I was saying before I could of gotten a standard room for $199.00 but I rather splurge and get myself in debt because like it to short not to enjoy it while we can :)

When I checked for GC concierge Park view room they said it is $700:confused3
a night. And for next July it is $799 so is anyone else here getting quotes for that same price????

Im confussed. We use our pts anyway but the prices your showing are soooo low. Do you always stay at that low price?

It is about $300 extra a night to add on concierge...is that what you are talking about?

What is AP4?
Kudos to you for getting such a great price:thumbsup2
