I assume this is what was going to be Opreyland Florida.
I've not seen it since construction. Is it strictly more the convention crowd or do they successfully cross over to tourists like MOWC ?? any opinions about the property appreciated.

Steve, I can tell you that this property is absolutely stunning! We visited there while in Orlando last week. We drove over from HIFS but only stayed a short time because we had just driven 24 hours from NY and we were all beat. I had planned to go back but it just never worked out. I am certain you will enjoy your stay there, I know I'm dying to stay there and will if I get a good enough rate.

I'll second the beauty of this resort. It is definitely not set up for just conventions! The interior is very unique and well done. The restaurants range from kitchy (a boat!) to pretty authentic (Mediterranean style) to very well appointed.

It is just a very short ride to Disney (take Osceola Parkway and take a right at the first light! It's not far from Universal (I4 route) or Seaworld either.

If you are planning on staying here, have a wonderful time! Do try to make time to visit if you're not staying. Having a meal there is a great way to get a feel for the resort.

In many ways it is an even grander version of MOWC. Not quite so many restaurants, but hugely stylish in everything they do. And the standard rooms are just huge!

This is truly a beautiful resort! There are some good pictures of it on Themeparks.com There are 2 pools, one is for adults only, I thought that was a great idea. The Key West area and bar are a lot of fun. A few people have mentioned having a good time in the dueling piano bar there. Our package, which was a fantastic deal, included the breakfast buffet each morning and it was quite good.
Although we discovered that we really do prefer to stay on Disney property, I highly recommend this hotel. I believe they are offering some good discounts right now.

Happy Vacations!
