Gaylord Palms

Has anybody ever stayed here. The rates seem high, anybody ever get a good discount?

We stayed at Gaylord Palms in very early January, 2005 for one night before our DVC checkin at BWV. Actually, I believe we arrived on New Years Day. I did get a nice package price with that stay in conjunction with the ICE show that the Gaylord presents every year......don't remember the pricing, but, it included room and tickets to ICE. The hotel is very nice, but, without some type of discount I wouldn't pay their rack rates. I believe a large portion of their business is convention groups (at least I know the Gaylord in Nashville caters primarily to conventions because I've attended several there)

We LUCKED out and got the Gaylord Palms on Priceline for $93 plus parking plus resort fee. Upon checking in we were offered a suite if we paid an additional $75. I grabbed it. I don't know if we were so blessed because it was an anniversary trip but this was the best deal we've ever gotten. However, I would NEVER bid on Priceline if I wanted a specific hotel. That never works!
