Staying at Gaylord Palms for a week starting Friday. Anyone have any hotels tips or things to see or do there?

:cool1:

Biggest tip - bring a lot of money! :) If you have a car you will be happier going out to eat because the selections onsite are expensive and not too child friendly, well, to my family anyways! The pool is shaded for much of the day, which is nice. It's a huge place so make sure you learn the way around so you can get where you are going quicker.

We had cars so we self-parked (my DH will not pay to valet) so I don't know about the transportation. It is closest to Pop century and ESPN sports area, but it isn't far to Disney parks at all.

osceola parkway toll road will need change, I don't know how much.

have fun, explore the whole place, get some bocce balls from the stand by the pool and play! We did the mini-golf as well, and my son had fun.

If you can, try Villa de Flora. This is their amazing buffet. And don't forget to look for the gators in the atrium.

Enjoy!!

Plan on spending some time just wandering around the resort itself. And take a camera - there are lots of photo ops.

You are so lucky to get to stay there. Have a wonderful time!

:)

Good to see nice things! We're staying this week on a teacher discount and can't wait! We did hear that there are a lot of fees and the food is expensive. We might eat at Villa de Flora, though. If it's a good buffet, it might be worth it.
