If we get the discounted Gay Days tickets do these tickets look any different then the regular park hoppers? The site says for convention goers only.....will they have anyway of knowing if we attended the convention or not?

Thanks! The discount is so great I don't want to miss out on these passes....however I would hate to get there and not be able to use them (I'm an over planner and tend to worry about these things LOL) :)

They don't look any different than regular parkhoppers. On the back, they will say "convention" in small type at the bottom, but they do not check or ask at the turnstiles if you are attending. The only downside to these convention hoppers is that they do not include Magic Morning entry.

I got them one year to go an d they were dirt cheap! they were regular park tickets and they sent them to me in the mail.

when is gay days, i dont have anything against gays or anything but i just by chance went to WDW at the end of gay week there and it was very uncomfortable for my kids, i would really like to avoid DL if i could, anybody know the dates this is going on??

Do you need to be going to the parks during the convention?

You didn't use to but I heard somewhere that Disney has changed this.

Basically every day at the park is gay days. Keep your eyes open for us. We will probably look just like you and other members of your family. Can't even imagine why it would be uncomfortable for your kids. Seeing straight people isn't that uncomfortable for me.

I do not think these tickets can be upgraded to an AP and you can not add days to it.

Gay days are October 2 - 4 this year. It is the first weekend in Oct. usually I beleive.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The only thing that bothers me with both straight and gay are long drawn out PDA's Even those don't seem to bother my kids though.

Can anyone confirm?? Do they mail the tickets or can you print them at home?

I can confirm that they do have to be used within a certain amount of time, and for gay days it is by the 11th of October.

its mainly the PDA's, and yes straight PDA's are uncomfortable to but they are much easier explained to a 5 years old with a mommy and daddy, rather than two women or two men, and the 5 years old just stairs off and looses a piece of there innocents.

okay let me get this straight. I'm going to DLR 10/6 and 10/7. I can buy park hopper tickets through the website and they can be used until the 11th? It is a screaming deal.

At the risk of getting too serious with this thread.... if I had kids (which I do not), because this is 2009 (and it is a different day and age than when my parents grew up), I would not lead my children to think that seeing two men or two women holding hands or showing affection was wrong, or unusual, or out of the ordinary in any way. It is part of life and the world we live in now, everyone chooses different partners, gay or straight, and it doesn't bother me in the least bit so it would not be an issue for my child because I would not teach them to think it was an issue. Love is love is love, and people are very lucky to find it with whomever they can!

Now as for the issue of blatant, over the top PDA's, yes, at Disneyland, those should be kept under control - and that applies to everyone - amorous teenagers, gropin' grannies, gay, straight, etc. Disneyland is not the place for that kind of thing in general. There are other places to go to see that activity, and they are nowhere near Disneyland!!:lmao::lmao:

Oh man when I went as a teen the one thing that bothered me and my best friend the most was the people making out in line. Nothing like waiting for the matterhorn and praying the force of the people sucking face in front of you doesn't pull you all in like a black hole.

i agree, love is love, but its hard to explain to a small child that only usually sees mom and dad kiss, then goes to the happiest place on earth and sees to women necking and groping, i am only speaking from exact experience, i have nothing against gays, i have many gay friends but the exact experience we happen to encounter at WDW during gay days was very awkward to explain to our 5 year old who obviously on his own interpertation felt it was uncomfortable, we didnt tell him it was wrong or that some people do that or anything, on his own free will he realized it was awkward and made him uncomfortable all on his own. He is now 7 and has a friend with gay parents and loves hanging out at there house but still thinks two women together is unusual, he always asks wheres trevors dad and why his two mommys kiss.

The price is excellent for those who can use them. There was a time, I believe, when the length of time for use was quite extended but it has shrunk in recent (was it just last year?) time.

Hope to see y'all there during the weekend!
